22.01.2022 This week we welcomed our newest team member Mrs Clerk who has stepped in as Acting Principal / Grade 3-6 Teacher. Welcome to Ellinbank Mrs Clerk.

18.01.2022 As a part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations we watched excerpts from Dance Rites. This show from the Sydney Opera House displayed the powerful coming together of traditional customs, language and contemporary culture with First Nations dancers from around Australia. The kids loved joining in some dancing and music making too!

16.01.2022 Remembrance Day 2020 Today marks the 102nd anniversary of the Armistice which ended World War I in 1918. To show our respect we handed out Poppy’s to each of the students and staff. We all gathered on the lawn in the flag area at the front of the school and stood in silence for 1 min while The Last Post played, after the flag was raised to full mast. Lest we forget.

15.01.2022 Today we held our 1st assembly since March. Congratulations to Martha, Eli and Isaac who received CARE awards.

14.01.2022 During STEM earlier this week students worked in small groups to create shelters using natural materials that would keep a stuffed toy protected from the wind and rain overnight. It was wonderful to watch the students work so cooperatively together and to see the variety of shelters that were made. We are pleased to report that they are all still standing.

13.01.2022 Prep transition We are pleased to announce that we will be holding prep transition sessions over the coming weeks. The dates for these sessions are November 16..., 23, 30 and December 7th. If you haven’t got in your enrolment form yet please contact the school ASAP to receive one. Feel free to share this post with any families who may be interested. We are looking forward to welcoming our new students and families to our wonderful school community at Ellinbank Primary.

12.01.2022 World Teachers' Day 2020 We would like to thank our wonderful teachers, especially given this most unusual year. We thank them for the extra effort that was put into remote learning as well as the week to week planning and care for all the students. Thank you.

07.01.2022 Last week we made the most of the sun and explored the different ways of representing fractions.

03.01.2022 Yesterday, Monday the 9th, we welcome Jodie Hall who is running our PE/Sports program. All the students started the sessions with a 3 round fitness Tabata to get our bodies ready for our lesson. Senior students learnt a game called 4 wicket cricket. Junior students did some catching, throwing and cricket bat/ball skills. ... At the end of the day we came together as a whole school on the oval and we learnt the game of Bootball, after forming two teams we then played a quick innings each side. So much fun had by all and even a few sore legs today from the Tabata but we are all looking forward to next weeks sessions.
