23.01.2022 We have six little mini bordoodles that were born a couple of weeks ago!

21.01.2022 So I realised tonight, it’s very hard to take photos of dark three week old puppies! These are some pics from the current mini bordoodle litter - we still have one looking for their adoptive family due to someone’s circumstances changing. Message us for more details Mini bordoodles grow 6-10kgs and are much smaller than a standard bordoodle. Great for those families who are after a smaller companion

21.01.2022 Check out the different types of exercise you can do with your four-legged friend

18.01.2022 Are you housetraining a puppy? Here's something I put together for a client, feel free to share.

17.01.2022 This is something everyone should see. When you get your 8/10 week old puppies, please keep this image in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod a...round so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet. When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in. But when you're letting puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint. You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one. Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once. A bit of back-story: This is a baby puppy who had a knock to his elbow and wasn't using it properly, so he was taken to the vet. There is nothing wrong in these x-rays, thankfully it is a soft tissue injury and he is expected to be fine.

16.01.2022 Two and a half hours and we got through the volhard puppy aptitude and temperament testing. This is the first time we have completed this testing for puppies as it's always good to improve on the way you do things :) We had two puppies in the litter that were able to retrieve a piece of paper and bring it back naturally Puppies scored mostly 3's and 4's! This means they adapt well to life, have good obedience prospects, are good with young children and the elderly and have a... common sense approach to life! Tonight the wonderful families who have been waiting so patiently will get to choose their new furbaby Exciting times!

16.01.2022 It’s so much more than you think!

15.01.2022 We hope everyone is having a great start to the new year! Check out our new logo! Stay tuned for website updates!

11.01.2022 Meet Leo and his mum A! A has been very committed to putting in the basics with little Leo for the last two weeks since he arrived at his new home. Those who has purchased a puppy from me know how much I talk about the importance of training starting from day one! ... A has been researching training methods online and she is doing such an amazing job! Bordoodles are so smart, they are easily trainable but we have to start from day one! Training also makes them feel safe and stable, they understand what their family is asking of them when they have consistent practice! 15 mins a day, making it fun and rewarding for puppy is a great start! A has also enlisted her children to do some training with Leo, this ensures Leo knows where he fits in in his pack and that he will listen to A’s children when they are out and about!

09.01.2022 Elliott Bordoodles is now on Instagram! Feel free to follow us and tag us when you put up pics of your puppies!

07.01.2022 Currently taking applications for special puppy in the current standard litter. Penny only has one eye, she needs a family who has experience with dogs and it would be great if we could find her a family who has experience with limited vision dogs. Other than having one eye, she is living her best life! She is very sweet, loves a cuddle and children. Penny will be staying at Elliott Bordoodles until 10 weeks to give her a little more time to build her confidence :)... Penny does have an adoption fee. Please message the page for further details.

02.01.2022 Penny’s favourite spot is on my chest! She is so cuddly! She has had a bath and is spending some one on one time with us this afternoon - she met another dog and has been learning about different sounds! Tomorrow we are going to go on an adventure to Bunnings and to Petbarn to get a harness!

01.01.2022 A great little video!
