25.01.2022 The 2019/20 400 Thunder Australian Professional Drag Racing Series has been extended into a 2019/21 super season culminating at the Winternationals in June due to racing events being cancelled since March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Racing was earmarked to resume this month. However, with Greater Sydney fighting to contain the latest COVID-19 clusters it is difficult to say when racing will resume here. 24.01.2022 This morning @drylakesracersau announced that Speed Week and the World Speed Trials will be postponed as the necessary medical and fire service presence could not be guaranteed for the events in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. We fully support their decision and while we are disappointed not to be racing next week we count ourselves lucky to have healthy families and team members at this time. There is of course an impact to us, our families and our supporters with so m...any logistics of the campaign already in train. However, our thoughts are with the international crews who have already landed in Australia and will be in a tougher spot now as to how to proceed. We remain committed to this world record attempt and look forward to seeing it through at a later date to be confirmed. 22.01.2022 It has been great catching up with Ben Felten (the world’s fastest blind motorcycle racer) this week. That’s right, he’s completely blind and holds a world land speed record of 266.716 kph (165.730 mph). I can’t wait to see Ben and his Blind Speed team in action at Speed Week 2021.

19.01.2022 I’ve been working on this drag bike chassis a lot lately. @danlesnock dropped by this weekend and we moved it to the bench for the first time to test fit a front end, rear wheel and powertrain. 17.01.2022 2020 was a year where racing events were few and far between. However, it didn't stop me from getting some track time in during September @macarthurflattrack. 16.01.2022 Our Hooligan Racer, a highly customized H-D Street Rod 750, is now available for sale! It’s inspiration comes from the American Flat Track series. I’ve always been fascinated with that type of racing. So when the opportunity came up to race hooligan flat track in Australia we jumped at the chance to build this bike for it. The bike was purchased brand new from Fraser Motorcycles Concord in 2018 and was immediately stripped, rebuilt and tuned for racing at Aus Hooligan X whi...ch was held at Gippsland Motorplex the same year. The bike was configured for flat track racing (track use only) but it can be converted to a road legal version. 12.01.2022 The World Speed Trials will be going ahead at Lake Gairdner 28-30 March 2020! It has been a nail biting experience getting everything ready for our upcoming land speed record attempt. We are now in final preparations and I have submitted the necessary paperwork to the DLRA, Motorcycling Australia and FIM containing details of our LSR1 MKII race bike. With a number of final touches still to be made to the bike we’ll be working hard right up to the day we hit the road from S...ydney. With only 2 months to go we don’t yet know if we be able to cross the state border or whether the La Niña weather conditions result in higher than usual rainfall which could impact the scheduled race days. 09.01.2022 Meet our LSR1 MKII race bike which could become the world’s fastest naturally aspirated Harley-Davidson at DLRA Speed Week 2021. The unique and unconventional bodywork was engineered for optimum aerodynamic performance by Sammy Diasinos of Dynamic Aero Solutions. The bodywork was then fabricated out of carbon fibre by Terry Jackson of IM Composite Technologies. LSR1 MKII started out as a 2018 H-D Fat Bob. I stripped the bike down until only the chassis was left and built up... this bike especially for land speed racing. Additional upgrades to the powertrain complete with an all new Emtron Engine Management Electronics system have been completed since my original Milwaukee-Eight engine upgrade which helped me to break my Australian land speed record in the modified partial streamliner pushrod fuel class at Dry Lakes Racers Australia Speed Week 2018. This morning my racing team and I are loading this 2000cc 120ci animal into our LDV Australia Deliver 9 van and are beginning our journey to Lake Gairdner for Speed Week 2021 where I hope to smash my current record in the MPS-PF 2000 class. 06.01.2022 Well we’re back in phone range after an unforgettable trip to Lake Gairdner for Speed Week 2021. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the week we were hoping for but we sure enjoyed it. The elements threw everything at us this week. Monday and Tuesday the wind gusts were so strong they blew me sideways off the racetrack into the rough natural salty surface twice, and off the track a third time before heavy rain set in and flooded the lake on Wednesday. We stuck around like many other rac...e teams watching the lake slowly dry out again and waiting for racing to recommence. It looked promising at sunrise this morning but the final track inspection wasn’t favorable and so we’re coming home empty handed to wait another year for the next opportunity to break my record... That’s land speed racing.
