The day you left here as a young filly I cried and cried, because I knew how much I'd miss you, but little did I know how fabulous you would become. We couldn't wish for a better home for you with your Mum Nikki Patching. You are set to be everything for her that your Mum Chevelle is for me: My dream Friesian! This is why we breed. These are my dreams as a breeder come true. Nikki Patching thank you...! Guy McLean, to see the trust that this young non-dominant mare has placed in you, moving confidently between horses she doesn't really know, is testimony to your remarkable horsemanship skills. 22.01.2022 Happy 1st birthday Kolisi. What a stunning boy you are growing into.

22.01.2022 So when we started out on this crazy game of breeding Friesians, our goal was to not only produce top quality horses, but as importantly horses with wonderful temperaments. Above all we want our babies to go to homes where they are loved members of the family, and to date we have been so very fortunate that dream has come true. And these photos show why. This is Ashton of Ellis Park, who is now an almost 3 year old stallion. The first photo is Ash with a saddle on for the... first time, and the second photo is the 11 year old daughter of his owner on straight after. When I saw this second photo my eyebrows rose, but as his wonderful owner said 'why not, after all it is just Ashton ' To say that my heart is bursting with pride over him, and gratitude for how she has raised him from the baby he arrived as, is the understatement of the century. Thank you Linda Byrnes! Ashton...I cried when you left here, but I could not be happier for the wonderful life you have and the adventures that lie ahead. See more

22.01.2022 Nelleke of Ellis Park has her first big zoomie out in the paddock....at 6 days old she's got those long legs all sorted out!

20.01.2022 Zulu of Ellis Park looking quite in the 'family way' for a maiden mare, with still just over 4 months to go. This lovely mare (Stendert 447 x Maurus 441) is in foal to Alwin 469, due 1 January 2021. A payment plan can be arranged, for what should be a very lovely foal.

17.01.2022 Finally, after 6 unsuccessful attempts with frozen semen, our 7th and final attempt for the year has resulted in a pregnancy. Well done Zulu! Thank you Andrew Bennett from MERC for your persistence. Thank you Nelleke, Zulu's lovely filly at foot, for being such a super traveller to and from the clinic so this could happen. But the biggest thank you goes to Gregg Clough, for encouraging me to keep trying despite the disappointments. You are the best! This will be an Epke 474 x Stendert 447 foal. Based on Mum and Dad, we expect tall, modern and LOTS OF HAIR

16.01.2022 Welcome to the world Nelleke of Ellis Park. Zulu surprised us with a midday delivery of this lovely filly, 18 days early. Mum and Bub are both doing great, despite the horrible wet conditions. Nelleke is Zulu's first foal, and is Alwin 469 x Stendert 447. She's free of genetic defects and will be available to a new forever home.

08.01.2022 The love of an Uncle. Kolisi of Ellis Park is 14 months old, and Amigo will be 27 in 10 days time. He's a priceless babysitter, and most importantly a tutor in good manners, for the youngsters.

07.01.2022 Shooting into the light first thing this morning wasn't ideal, but I couldn't help but take a couple of snaps of the kids as they had a burn around, and then hung out with their babysitter.

07.01.2022 Our beautiful baby Kiri of Ellis Park is on her way to her new home in QLD. It is a sad day for us, but we are sure a wonderful future lies ahead for her. Travel well baby!

06.01.2022 Kolisi of Ellis Park - Foalbook colt by Sipke 450: DOB 8 Nov 2019. Today was Kolisi's first time in the round yard, and it was nice to see him so relaxed and unworried about being away from all the other horses in this new environment. Kolisi has big scopey movement, and will be a classic build with fairytale Friesian looks. Kolisi is available as a colt, or gelded if preferred. 05.01.2022 Orlando of Ellis Park (Alwin 469 x Maurus 441) - We are thrilled to announce that Orlando will be joining the family of a dear friend and neighbour from when we lived in Brisbane upon weaning, and Nelleke of Ellis Park (Alwin 469 x Stendert 447) - Nelleke will be joining a lovely family in QLD upon weaning. We know both families will just adore their new babies! Apologies: the video is not the best quality at all....but the foals are!

01.01.2022 Well Anja of Ellis Park is home today, after being started under saddle by Phil Grace. To say we are delighted with the wonderful work he has done with her is a massive understatement. There was a lot to look at for her first time ever at the beach, but both she and Chinks, owned and started by Phil's equally talented wife Fiona Grace, were cool as cucumbers. Thank you Phil and Fiona!
