06.01.2022 Just 2 Weeks Away!!! 'MEET THE ARTISTS' - Helen Hewitt 'Fine Lines' & Linda Gallus 'Finding the Rural' on Easter Saturday 3rd April from 2-5pm Beautiful Artwork...s from both these artists. WELL WORTH A VISIT. Helen Hewitt: I am a self-taught artist working in a variety of mediums but with an overriding passion for illustration in pen and ink and coloured pencil. I am strongly attracted to the world of make believe and its countless mythical creatures, from fairies to dragons and all in between. Drawings are initiated by my imagination and slowly progress onto paper. It is not unusual for me to spend many hours, even days, thinking about and sketching my subject matter and/or story before I come up with the final draft. Linda Gallus: I have travelled extensively around Victoria & have found old farm buildings, out buildings, barns, shearing sheds & chimneys to be an endless source of inspiration. My current work is mainly old buildings, ordered gardens, plantations, forests & undulating country side. I borrow aspects the landscape & alter them, add to them, & adjust them to fit my purpose in the studio setting. I aim for some reality with a twist. I often add quirky elements to my paintings in order to tell a story. ALSO part of the Northern Bellarine Peninsula Arts Trail scheduled for the 10th & 11th April. Brochures available from ART 16 - Art Gallery and lots of other local places. #artexhibition2021 #artexhibition #visitart16indrysdale #drysdalegallery #bellarineartgallery #helenhewitt #lindagallus #northernbellarinepeninsulaartstrail #drysdale #cliftonsprings #portarlington #stleonards #Wallington #curlewis #leopold #oceangrove #queenscliff #torquay #art #artstrail #arttrail #geelong #melbourne #visitbellarine #bellarinegallery #visisitgeelongbellarine
