18.01.2022 BBQ TEA // THIS SATURDAY! We're rolling out the BBQ and cooking tea on Saturday night. Sausages or hamburgers in bread with coleslaw, onion and your favourite sauce available from 6-8pm.... It's going to be around 30 degrees - perfect for an afternoon of inflatable fun in the pool from 2pm and Toy Story 4 on the big screen from 8pm. 16.01.2022 DRAFT COMMUNITY AQUATIC FACILITIES STRATEGY As a supporter of the Elmore Swimming Pool, make sure you have your say! Council's draft Community Aquatic Facilities Strategy proposes to retain our pool - which is good news - but recognises that it's in poor condition - which is not so good. ... We put in a huge community effort to operate and maintain the pool each summer. But after years of bare minimum asset maintenance from Council, our pool urgently needs attention before it gets any worse. We can't wait a few more years for Council to turn the strategy into action and get to us. You can help us by completing the survey and telling Council that you agree that the Elmore Swimming Pool is a high priority, that it needs urgent action and that as a base service level you want a pool that is: In good condition - safe, reliable and sustainable Accessible for all users with a priority on warmer water Exciting for kids with a greater range of experiences Access the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CommunityAquaticFacilitiesSt Questions 1-4 allow you to comment on the Elmore Swimming Pool specifically. 14.01.2022 INFLATABLES // BACK TODAY We had so much fun on the inflatables yesterday...that we're doing it again today! They'll be on the water all afternoon (2-7pm).... It'll be 34C today, ahead of a cooler week, so get to the pool on the last hot day of the season. There are some sausages and hamburgers left from last night so we'll throw them on the BBQ at around 5pm. #Elmore #smalltownbigheart

12.01.2022 LIFEGUARD OPPORTUNITIES | 2020-21 SEASON | ELMORE SWIMMING POOL After a long, locked down winter the days are getting longer and warmer and soon enough it'll be summer and we'll be open again - COVID-19 permitting! If you're interested in being a casual lifeguard this summer we'd love to hear from you.... We need lifeguards on our team who are over 18 and available to work afternoons from the start of December through until early March. Perfect for local parents or retirees looking for a few hours of work each week or students filling in their holidays. If you're keen but don't have a lifeguard qualification don't let that hold you back - there's time and we can help. We've got some equipment but if you have any of these things handy feel free to bring them along: whipper snipper, leaf blower, chainsaw, pressure washer or jambro gun and clips.
