25.01.2022 So we have a new gardening toy. It is a worm Farm and Composting unit that grows plants as well! so we are starting with Micro veggies & using it to start with seeds as well as using seedlings to help with turn over and so that we can transplant out to the garden when they are ready and hardy enough to deal with our very cool weather here in West Victoria through the winter. Even though it is cold we have very few frosts right at the motel becasue we are close to the sea. That helps! These units are great to have in small areas like we have available and when you need to control the environment a little to help things along as well

This last week we had a very important visitor to Warrnambool and not least Elm Tree Motel We have been privileged to host Claude Harvey "The Lawn Mower Man" Claude Harvey pushes his mower around Australia to promote awareness of the charity "Brave Hearts" and the general welfare of Children in this country of ours. ... At this stage he has raised well over 1.5 Million dollars for this cause, and Diana and I think this is absolutely fantastic! If you ever wish to speak to a man that will lift your spirits, this is the man you need to have a chat to.
