Firstly, there is no hard and fast rule on writing your vows, as long as they’re from the heart, they will be perfect. For those wanting to get started, we suggest you bullet point the ‘promises’ you would like to make to your partner on your wedding day. 16.01.2022 Hi all, We are devastated (yes, devastated!) to advise our couples we have had to postpone our RFS weddings on 5th April 2020. Boohoo! We know!! Unfortunately, this was as you know out of our hands and we kept pushing on, hopeful with numbers so low we could continue. With all entertainment venues closed as well as all hospitality we would sadly fall into those categories. What does this mean for you now, we hear you ask? Well, for those wanting all the bells and whistle...s, we are in talks with the venue to lock down another date in the future and will let you know as soon as we have this scheduled. To other couples that still want to marry on the planned date we ask that you contact your celebrant direct. Weve decided for couples who would like to still support the RFS with their donation, and are happy to do a minimal elopement-style ceremony, we are committed and happy to perform these weddings on the original agreed date or around the date whatever works best for you. Your wedding can be at an agreed location, even your homes if that works for you? We will work with you to make this happen and do not want you completing missing out over this pandemic. We all still need some good news and positivity, especially right now. Again its a terrible time for everybody and this decision was beyond our control. We would be negligent to ignore government and health authorities wishes and put potential lives at risk with such a big event. We hope everybody can understand this and no doubt you are all as disappointed as we are. Weve been planning these for many months and with the help of some amazing contributors. A HUGE thank you to our amazing contributors who have committed to finding another date and being so wonderful + to you all for sticking with us through all of this. We will all be back in full swing once it all dies down but in the meantime please feel free to reach out if you want us to make alternate arrangements to help you marry sooner rather than later. 16.01.2022 A little ray of positivity for you.. Im sure you all agree the world needs a happy story right about now, and guess what? ...youre it! Love wins again.. We are excited to reveal we have just received confirmation with Bong Bong Race Picnic Race Club + all other contributors that we still good to go ahead with our weddings on the 5th April. *insert happy dance here* There are a few things we ask you to consider to in the lead up to your big day; - Your health is of utmost i...mportance to us and we will be complying with any future government directives. - Guests should be kept to a minimum if possible, up to 20 per couple for us to adhered to no more than 100 people indoors (in case it rains). If it doesnt rain we may have a little wiggle room but we obviously cant predict what the day will be like this far out. - Social distancing must be considered, we will only have 10 chairs available for guests distances evenly apart, there will be plenty of room to stand for other guests not seated - We will be able to keep all wedding groups separated, but we do ask you to remind them to follow the government directives about both hygiene and social distancing. - We ask that if you have hand sanitiser to bring it along, as at this stage we have not been able to obtain any. There are bathroom facilities available and these will have plenty of soap. - Please reconsider the attendance of any of your guests that may be vulnerable. You will be able to show them photos, not ideal we know but much better to do that than put them in a situation that may be completely unsafe for them. As we know things are challenging for everyone at present, including our wonderful contributors and we may not be able to provide every service donated, however at the moment we have everyone fit, healthy and excited about your day and its all steam ahead! We know this is worrying for people across the globe right now, but we want to assure you that as far as Elope To The Country is concerned, our RFS wedding fundraiser will continue to go ahead at this stage, unless we are told this is out of our hands. As you are all aware the COVID-19 situation is escalating rapidly and we do not know what government directives may come into play and how this will affect us in the next few weeks, it reall...y is anyones guess. Each wedding ceremony has been planned as a separate event, which we hope should minimise contact as much as possible and hopefully have little impact on us, but again things seem to be changing rather quickly as numbers rise of those testing positive to the virus. That said, we are working towards a Plan B should it be necessary (we need a contingency plan) to invoke should we be forced to make a decision outside of our control. We want to reassure you we are monitoring the situation closely (as we are sure you are too) and will keep you informed ASAP of any further updates. Glenn, Bel, Delia + all vendors volunteering their time are passionate about both the RFS cause and giving you a beautiful wedding day. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out. The health and safety of everybody needs to be the focus right now, especially for our elderly loved ones or those with low immunity. 02.01.2022 Ashly and Bens elopement at Lake Alexandra in the Highlands yesterday. Another of our RFS weddings chose to elope and becoming legally wed. Congrats to the both of you!

02.01.2022 Congratulations Mr + Mrs Vankka, two of the sweetest people, who decided to keep todays date and become legally wed. The couple exchanged vows in MacArthur Park in Camden and with the brides mum, Leanne and her husband Iain as witnesses (Iain also played music man and photographer). I had a turn at taking a few photos to capture a few of the special day (Ill share if I receive some of these down the track), and the brides proud mum made sure the Verve was ready to be popped to celebrate. Thank you for sharing this day and wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, and for the donation to our RFS heroes. We cant wait to see you and your beautiful little family (soon to be 5) in December.
