25.01.2022 Monty is finally off to be started under saddle by Emily Pellow! He has gone with his best friend Lucy who is now in foal to him. I am so excited to see how he goes. He hasn’t been on a float for over 3 years since his accident and literally walked straight on. Extremely chilled in his new paddock. I know he is in the best of hands
24.01.2022 Marley Richardson did a great job today doing some basic training with our youngest Warlander F2 colt Inacio. I talked her through it and she draped the lead rope over him and got him used to some pressure and being rubbed everywhere. We have to work a bit harder with this boy as his dam is not at all friendly and is very protective. I can see he has a willing temperament and really wants to be friendly. We also pulled some hairs for his DNA to send off for his colour test. Well done Marley!

18.01.2022 Very excited to have over 45 day scans on both our Warlander mare Lucy and our palomino mare Barbie, both in foal to Monty our Warlander stallion. Lucy lost her first foal at 9 months so we are very excited to see a new foal! We are bringing our other Warlander mare Djaquila for a scan this weekend

04.01.2022 I wanted to share both my joy and heartbreak today. As a breeder you have to take the bad with the good, and whilst being relatively new to breeding horses, I do have a lot of experience breeding other animals. I think it’s important to share the losses as well as the wins, as that is the true picture of being a breeder. It isn’t easy! We lost Lucy’s Warlander foal late last year which devastated me, and today I found out that my Friesian mare Ziggy also lost her Friesian fo...al somewhere in the last two months. However, our maiden Warlander mare Tashkent Djaquila is in foal to our Warlander stallion Monty! We now have 5 F2 Warlander foals all due this year as well as a Friesian Warmblood and hopefully we can announce soon a dilute Warlander sport horse on it’s way. We also hope to get our Harmony Hills Palomino Iberian mare in foal soon to the palomino PRE stallion Byalee El Dorado for a good chance of a double dilute or palomino foal. So whilst I am extremely disappointed, I still feel positive as we have so much to look forward with our growing stud. The main thing is that our horses are all healthy and happy and whilst we have had a setback, we were as determined as ever to succeed with our breeding goals. Time to look forward to Nicky and Isabella’s F2 Warlander foals due in a few weeks! See more
