23.01.2022 An excellent day filled with fun and light bulb moments for Tarni Woodhead and her clients here at Elsam Equestrian Solutions with Cedric. Tarni has been nominated as a finalist in the 2019 EQ coach of the year awards and I can see why and wish her the best of luck with it. Breaking through a couple of ‘blocks’ in their riding, I believe everyone had something of a ‘light bulb’ moment today. I always learn more with everyone that comes, especially watching the rapport with ...coaches and their students. 19.01.2022 Well hi there Rob! Showjumper and coach, Robert Goodwin, came and met Cedric yesterday. Was great fun! He did very well for his first time - not surprisingly! As we know Cedric can be a perfectionist and so the first couple of rides can be challenging-while you get used to him. However, Rob took it all in his stride and took home some tips for himself too. Stay posted here as we are looking forward to lots more work/fun with these two. Thanks for coming

18.01.2022 Since being back on deck, Cedric and I have had the privilege to work with some amazing people. Some only just starting, some climbing back into the saddle after 10years or more, some unable to ride their own horses, others coming back from injuries or those just wanting to find their way to be ‘better’. I’ve also had clinics with various instructors and being a part of their learning - in depth - what their students/clients are doing in the saddle, has been fantastic! These... coaches really care about helping their clients get what they want out of their riding and the bond has been just beautiful to watch. The things Cedric helps with here are things that the naked eye finds it hard to see - especially when you’re half way up the arena within a few strides! It’s never dull in here and I’m grateful to each and every single person that comes in! The beauty of my job is that everyone that does come in, are here for the same reason - we love our horses and want to be the best we can be - for them... You’re all amazing for putting yourself out there to find where you can be better - it takes guts to open yourself up to criticism without excuses. Although, Cedric is very constructive! 17.01.2022 Just to explain the tardiness in my correspondence with enquires and sessions with Cedric. My precious daughter has been suffering abdominal pain for the past 6 weeks. Long story short - big shout out to @beachmerehealthcentre and our ED staff, nurses and surgeons at Caboolture Hospital. My girl has had her pesky grumbling appendix removed today successfully. A massive thank you to all involved for helping find what was wrong with her and then fixing it. I will do my best to ...contact those awaiting Cedric tomorrow - sessions will obviously be dependent on when she is allowed to come home. I appreciate your patience and understanding here.. In the regular visits we have had to endure over the past few weeks to doctor’s ultrasound pathology and the Emergency Department, I have witnessed some atrocious behaviour of some of the general public and then sheer volume added on our medical staff. These under appreciated medical geniuses need more patience and trust. They are professionals in an industry that I myself just couldn’t do. All I can say is thank you to them and express gratitude for the effort they put in to saving peoples lives and today, my daughter’s. At the end of the day - that’s all they ever ask for too! So instead of grumbling and complaining- trust and be grateful- take the time to tell them they’re awesome - as you wouldn’t be waiting if you were in worse condition than the person ahead of you See more

17.01.2022 Tips to become a better rider! What a great visual! This helps us understand what the horse feels when we sit crookedly in the saddle... Load a wheelbarrow heavily to one side as in the center illustration. Now push the wheelbarrow, and feel how it pulls to the weighted side and how you are forced to lean in that direction to compensate. That’s how your horse feels when you sit unevenly in the saddle, as shown in the left image. When you sit evenly, the horse will be centered and balanced as shown in the illustration on the right. 17.01.2022 Hi his little mare ‘Sally’ was given to my husband just before she was a yearling. Coming from a big stud, she was unhandled and therefore a handful! Josh has never had his own foal before so this was his first. It’s not his birthday, or our anniversary or for any other special reason. This post is mostly dedicated to him as he is the most incredible man. He has watched and assisted me break/gentle many horses in our years together. He’s never been above learning from me -... an also trying to better me! He has soaked everything up along the way and gone on his own tangent (Monty Roberts and Equestricare equine massage). Everything he has worked with with Sally has turned her into the most agreeable MARE of all things! She takes everything in her stride now and trusts us implicitly. She was ridden for 3rd time ever today and she was absolutely remarkable. I’m only doing this bit as he is a big guy and I need to get her fit enough and strong enough for her young bones to carry him but that is all I have done. Josh has been the driving force behind Cedric and what is now Elsam Equestrian Solutions. He served his country twice overseas - during which he irreversibly injured himself and yet this doesn’t stop him. He has thrown himself wholeheartedly into his riding and wants nothing more than to be a better rider and human for them. He works hard himself and with mine and Cedric’s, his coach/instructor Robert Goodwin and regular exercise program/prescription from Natasha Gunston @Moreton All Body Care - I believe we are only just beginning to see what Josh wants to achieve. I may not say it much and lavish more attention on my horses than you. But I want you to know that you are an adored husband, father, son-in-law, friend. NEVER stop being you

16.01.2022 Yesterdays clinic marked the first in a series developed by Elsam Equestrian Solutions and The Eventing Physiologist. These clinics are a first for Australia, using both the technology of a state of the art equestrian simulator and the expertise of fully qualified Exercise Physiologist Natasha Gunston and Gold Level Simulator Coach Emily Morgan-Brown. The simulator ‘Cedric’ can be used as the foundation for any discipline and then goes on to assist to refine techniques for Dr...essage Show Jumping and Cross Country. Yesterday’s clinic attracted a great range of riders, such as - Eventers, Dressage Riders, Endurance and beginners. Each and every rider was assessed on their current technique to ascertain areas for improvement and then underwent a postural assessment and then further through a series of relevant exercises based upon findings. Each rider will receive their individually tailored exercise prescription via email based on their diagnostic evaluation and physical assessment. All riders came with an open mind and eager to find areas in which they can work upon in their quest to be the great rider their horse needs them to be. I cannot express the enjoyment of the day and how much we got out of it. All riders were an absolute pleasure to meet and work with and we cannot wait for the next one!

To bring an international influence into my training is such an exciting journey and to broaden my knowledge in invaluable. Anyone wanting to find out how to involve themselves, please don’t hesitate to ask. 10.01.2022 For those of you interested, I have a small update on Cedric..... During COVID shutdown, unbeknownst to us, Cedric has been cyber bullied. These exceedingly vicious individuals set upon him while no one was around - typical bullies! They did not have the courage to do it in the open. Being the stoic creature he is, he never complained up until 3 weeks ago. Where is all became too much. So I’m going to name and shame! MICE! Who cruelly and with malice and without forethought... and conscience, broke into Cedric’s most private areas and did the despicable- urinated and defaulted in his most precious parts. We feared for his life to begin with, but he is a fighter! He has not given up. I am proud to tell you that Cedric’s days are NOT done! We are putting all the necessary steps in place so that these ‘Bullies’ will NEVER bother him again. He undergoes surgery today and I will keep you all posted on his recovery and rehabilitation time. We are hoping it won’t be too long now. He has shown us all that you can’t keep a good simulator down for long! TBC....... See more

09.01.2022 With Christmas and New Year getting closer - we have been very busy. A lot has happened in the last couple of months. A small recap - * we have used Cedric to assist with a Custom Saddle Fit. * an amazing lady in her 70s had her first feel of riding again in 60years ... * Cedric is being used for rehabilitation from injury * ridden by riders with many different disabilities * Cedric will be incorporated it to an exercise program with myself and Exercise Physiologist Natasha Gunston * quite a few school equestrian teams have come for their introduction to the simulator * Dual Olympian John Fahey met Cedric and was ‘blown away’ with what he potentially offer * we were made aware of high level riders in Europe using the simulator for regular training for biomechanics and fitness (up to 8 hours a week!!) If you like to come again or for the first time, Cedric can be used for learning, correction, fitness, confidence and fun. 09.01.2022 UPDATE.... Cedric’s surgery has gone well. After the removal of all drives and having to fix some ‘collapsed arteries and blocked veins’, his internal organs are on their way home. We have had to arrange for a minor transplant of one drive, the new one is in its way from the UK as we speak. Until then, he is being kept under sedation and is being kept in a comfortable and stable condition. We aren’t out of the woods yet, but we are starting to be able to see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

We decided to go ahead with Cedric as a business as I want to be better for him and I believe others will benefit from this too. It’s so completely new to Australia and I understand how it can be hard to wrap your mind around the concept for some or accept the feedback he may give at times. I try my hardest for my horse and I’m not perfect - never will be, but by Christ I’m willing to work as hard as I can to ...get as close as possible to it - my horse deserves it! I ask him to do so much and by god he tries, even when he’s not sure what I’m asking. 07.01.2022 So the initial assessment in the first clinic will be $165 to Cedders Club Members $195 to non members. This will be a repeated clinic to help us develop the correct muscle memory and fitness needed to be as correct as possible for our horses - regardless of discipline. So subsequent clinics for those who have dove the initial will be $132 for Cedders Club Members and $165 for non members. 05.01.2022 Mt St Michaels College Equestrian Team paid their first visit to Cedric and I this weekend. I would like to congratulate the school on what a beautiful and supportive bunch of ladies you had representing your school. They were very polite, exceedingly keen and all very open to suggestions and help. We found that these ladies certainly are lovely little riders and very open to finding the areas that they can work on to be that bit better. Everything with horses is a work in progress and awareness is the first step to improvement. Well done everyone. We look forward to seeing you again! 03.01.2022 Due to weather, thought it was better to stay local rather than compete today so snuck in a beautiful hour at the beach. Eleanor had a play date with Richie, bare back and barefoot, Solene ride little Robbie but also had a go in Richie bareback too. Jamie had his first tackless outing today. Turned 6yrs on Friday and was as cool as a cucumber just in a rope halter today. Such a lovely feeling. The progression to the cordeux only is getting closer Even my Sam had a try of Richie today. Can only hope his enthusiasm for riding will increase. However, Cedric remains his favorite some beautiful pics courtesy of Natacha Lafosse Marin.

02.01.2022 Good morning. This is more of an FYI post. It’s been brought to my attention that someone has misunderstood what I’ve said when inquiring about sessions with Cedric. So I thought I’d make it a little more clear. I have never and will never say that you MUST ride multiple times in order to train on him. What I have made people aware of - is that it can take some riders a couple of times to get used to him and how he works in order to be able to target specific areas of traini...ng. The simulator is programmed to give you what you ask for - when asked with the correct weight, leg and rein combination of aids. And therefore awareness of this is necessary. I do not and will not stipulate how little or often a client will ride. It is completely up to them. If you have any questions or have misunderstood this when speaking to me - please don’t be concerned to clarify - I do my best to be very approachable to everyone. Cedric doesn’t change, therefore how often you require his assistance with your training or learning is completely up to you. Have an excellent day everyone

01.01.2022 What a brilliant start to our 2020 equestrian pre season! Local Event Rider and Exercise Physiologist Natasha Gunston (also known as ‘The Eventing Physiologist’)was brilliant and very informative. Topped with our fun and relaxed atmosphere, we worked our bodies with both exercise and laughter! Safe to say I’m feeling the evidence today and know it’ll be worse tomorrow but it’s what I call a ‘good sore’ as we’ve started the road to becoming a fitter person and more importantl...y a fitter and better rider for our horses.
