25.01.2022 I imagine most of you have heard now that Myotherapy will return to face to face treatments with the last group of Step 3 on Nov 2nd. However, the Premier has earmarked bringing that date forward to Oct 26th if the case numbers stay low and controlled. As soon as one date starts to look the more likely, we'll open the appointment book and look forward to welcoming you so back! Maggie and I really appreciate your patience, tolerance and kindness during time and can't wait to get back to work

21.01.2022 We are waiting to hear from the Chief Allied Health Officer to clarify the fine print of the Premier's announcements yesterday in order to confirm whether we can open this week or with the Nov 2nd group. Permitted Allied Health workers are able to return to face to face treatments today. We were listed on the Permitted Workers list during Stage 4 but so heavily restricted that very few, if any, clients met the restrictions. So myotherapists were Permitted Workers who weren't ...permitted to work! Our restrictions were more in line with the Personal Services group. So we're not sure where the government has put us. Myotherapy Australia is trying to get to the bottom of this, but with different answers coming from the COVID Hotline, various MPs, the Health Miniters Office and DHHS, it may take 24-48 hours to clarify. Fingers crossed for some clear direction today!

07.01.2022 Hi again, I appreciate that many of you have questions in relation to whether or not we will be able to re-open as at the 19th of October. At this stage, I can only provide to you what we have received from the DHHS Chief Allied Health Officer quoted below:... "I don't anticipate any of the advice will change (i.e. Allied Health can resume services from the third step). It's really just about the date that we move to the next step. I appreciate that planning needs to occur so will find out what I can. However in the interim, it might be best for practitioners to let their patients know, their ability to proceed with service delivery will be dependent on announcements from the Premier." I understand that the above may not necessarily provide the clarification we are all seeking. However I want to assure you that we are continuing our efforts to advocate for a return of myotherapy services ASAP. Once we have a definite start date, I will contact those who have already requested an appointment, then notify everyone the online bookings are open again. Hopefully some good news is not too far away

06.01.2022 Sadly, but with 'an abundance of caution', we'll need to wait until Tues to hear if the Premier will remove the restriction on face to face Myotherapy treatments. The plan is still the same, Maggie and I will be in contact as soon as we have a confirmed start date.
