22.01.2022 COVID UPDATE: News just in. If you’re visiting us this weekend there are a few newly imposed restrictions in place to try and halt the spread of more cases in our region. Please be patient while we all work this out. From 5pm today... + ALL STAFF AND PATRONS will be required to wear a mask while indoors + all visitors must remain seated unless ordering food, drinks or hitting the toilet... + please keep a distance, wash hands, sanitise and assist staff by following any requests Be like Orville Peck. We want to thank our loyal locals, first time visitors, deadly staff and of course our incredible families for their ongoing support since. It’s been so hugely appreciated! Kuepper; the co-founder of 70’s proto-punks The Saints, chief architect of the uncompromising Laughing Clowns and The Aints! and master songsmith over some 15+ solo, and White; the brilliant drummer of renowned instrumentalists Dirty Three, partner in the genre-defying Xylouris White and disciple of all things Ed. Together they will t...ackle 45 years worth of Kuepper catalogue with a twist that only these two game-changers could apply. "Jim is one of the finest drummers I've seen and heard anywhere, totally gets inside of whatever he's playing in an unpredictable and exciting way, been wanting to work with him for a long while’’ - Ed Kuepper "I learnt drums playing with Aretha Franklin and the Saints on my childhood home’s furniture. The Saints’ first three record, Laughing Clowns and Ed Kuepper’s solo work have been a huge inspiration for me in my drumming life and beyond, a well of inspiration I carry with me and can dip into at will. - Jim White The show(s) will coincide with a trio of retrospective releases from Kuepper covering his solo years, Laughing Clowns and The Aints! 05.01.2022 It’s been a minute, but we’re bringing back some more (seated) music. This Thursday 15th, the Eltham House Band plays their first show! Made up entirely of Eltham pub staff, it features members of Wolf & Cub, Headland, Sophie Ozard, The Family Jordan, Jim Griffin & Babe Rainbow. In the coming months we’ll have a plenty of special guests up front too. Free show. Seated show. 8pm start. Bookings essential (just don’t call today, we’re not open).

05.01.2022 This bloke rolled in to the pub this morning, no collar. Red heeler cross, male, no tail. A passer by picked him up a few km’s along Eltham Rd east of the pub. Anyone know his owner? We’ll start a bar tab but it’s limited to $50 til’ we know who’s going to pay for it.

01.01.2022 Valued punters and @cwstoneking lovers, due to the ongoing downpours in our region today and with further heavy rain predicted tomorrow, we've made the call to postpone CW Stoneking's TUESDAY 23rd show at the pub for a week. It'll now take place the following TUESDAY 30th of March. Tickets will remain valid for this rescheduled show, and refunds will be available if you'd prefer. We apologise for this inconvenience but with major access roads still closed to our venue we fe...el it's best (and safest) to make the call now. The other show on Wednesday 24th will go ahead as planned with rain expected to ease by then. Thanks for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you out here soon!

01.01.2022 FATHERS DAY BOOKED OUT. First up, Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there! Hope there’s a cold tin with your name on it! As for the pub today : a heads up, if you hadn’t made a booking for lunch or dinner - we may be unable to sit you. With current capacity limits due to government restrictions as well as the pending weather, we can not safely seat more people. ...
