22.01.2022 SOCIAL SKATE - CANCELLED Regrettably we have to cancel our return to skating tonight. A physical check of the venue has confirmed very wet surfaces which will not dry in time. We will process refunds for those who booked and we hope to be in touch soon regarding our return to training.

19.01.2022 Great news! Skaterz is back to normal training program next week! No booking necessary and lesson cards will be in use again. For all indoor training, see below for training times and days and just show up. ... All outdoor training will be run by the Club. We will be releasing registrations links for next week later today.

13.01.2022 Look where we are!

13.01.2022 So good to see members back today at the Victoria training session. For those new to the Club or racing, the state training is normally held in December for those selected to represent Victoria at the nationals. Speed Skaterz has a large contingency each year and it was great to see team mates from other Clubs after such a challenging 2020! The nationals were due to be held January in Sydney but this has been pushed back to mid 2021. ... We look forward to getting back to regular competition from February.

13.01.2022 TRAINING SESSION 9 NOVEMBER We will be running a training session outdoors tomorrow. We hope to release more sessions for later this week and an indoor and outdoor program from the 16 Nov. We will run two groups of 10 (as per current restrictions) and both groups will be open to all abilities and ages. Andy, our intermediate coach will run both sessions.... Sessions: Session 1: 17.45 18.45 (10 max) Session 2: 19.00 20.00 (10 max) Location: Westerfolds Park, Fitzsimons Lane, Templestowe Cost: $5 per session. Remember: Outdoor wheels, gloves, helmets, chairs and water bottles. The training session is only open to current financial members. 07.01.2022 END OF YEAR SOCIAL SKATE & BBQ Join us this Saturday morning for our end of year social skate and BBQ to bring all our families together one last time this year. Date: Saturday, 19 December ... Time: 11.00 - 13.00 Meeting Point: Elwood Beach (by the Life Saving Club) Parking: There is a car park Elwood Beach but it does charge. We will set off from Elwood beach at a leisurely pace along the beach to Brighton and stopping at Sandringham Yacht Club for some refreshments and then back to Elwood for an end of year BBQ (a total of 14km on skates). A good opportunity to also meet some members of the Committee elected on Saturday. So, dust off your skates, gather your families, bring your compulsory Santa hat and/or tinsel - safety first of course, so real helmets a must.
