18.01.2022 We are now taking expressions of interest for our next litter of beautiful Border Collie puppies. Our Myrtle Beatrice birthed 11 healthy perfect pups on 16/3/20, 5 females and 6 males. Dam is a PB blue Merle BC, sire is a PB Lilac BC, both have lovely friendly temperaments, single coat, medium sized. These BC’s are bred to be loyal loving pets and are not a hyperactive working dog breed. They are still VERY intelligent dogs that love exercise, training and attention. ... Due to COVID we will be doing puppy meetings via video only and will arrange contactless pickup or delivery. These beautiful healthy puppies will come well socialised, wormed, vaccinated, microchipped and vet checked. Tim: 0434887078

18.01.2022 A short vid on preparing a garden bed of winter picking greens. Feel free to share, ask questions or post other good resources. This is great time to be sharing, caring and growing food!

07.01.2022 Gardening often gets loaded down with expectations of how it can save the world and everybody in it. As a gardener and head of community gardening organization... Seedleaf, I admit I am responsible for ardently supporting many of those claims. But here is what I know to be absolutely true: being able to grow your own food breeds a sense of confidence in one’s self along with a sense of solidity and strength in the face of the unknown. The garden shows us that the world will still be here even when all the structures we’ve erected are threatened or fall apart. Gardening feeds and nourishes us when we do not possess the funds to enter a grocery store. It reminds us that we will not wash away in the tumult of the moment, that we too are strong and competent and that we can take care of ourselves, our communities and our families.

05.01.2022 So the kids think this looks like camel barf... when in actual fact it is super powered chook medicine! I’ve been meaning to share this recipe as it is quite brilliant for resolving worms and parasites, and boosting your chookies’ vitality. Serves 5-10 chooks. In a bowl combine approx: 1 kg rolled oats 1 cup molasses (replaces iron if they’ve had mites or parasites)... 5 cloves raw garlic chopped 3-4 tbsp turmeric 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar Handful Tassie kelp granules Some warm water to mix 1tbsp diatomaceous earth (DE) /chook. * also highly recommend sprinkling DE through your chook’s feathers to get rid of any fleas or mites. Hint: tip them upside down when they are asleep Let us know if you try this and notice a difference
