25.01.2022 Sweet female Scarlet Honeyeater She is a wonderful Mum, a great nest builder and meal provider. Unfortunately the male doesn't just have one female for life, instead he has many. So while he is out and about flirting with all the other females she is looking after her babies. I absolutely loved watching her during their breeding season. Feel so blessed they let me get so close to them to photograph them Size: 10-11cm Breeds: June-Jan Eggs: 2-3

24.01.2022 I have had our gorgeous Koala's on my mind a lot lately, I think because I did a post in my blog on Sunday about the Shoyoen Gardens in Dubbo and that was as the worst bush-fires ever had just begun and Lindy and I were unaware they had. So many of these precious animals and so many other Australian animals birds and bush-land lost their lives, too many people lost their lives and homes were destroyed. So I am posting a couple of posts up of Koalas that I have captured over the past 3 years. This will also get them back onto my phone lol. I just hope and pray that we have learn't from this and have put things into place so something like this never ever happens again.

21.01.2022 Well been ages since I have posted anything on here but I have had just a couple of lessons using my new garden tool, then we had all that rain, and on top of that it is Company tax time again, so I have been really busy. Lindy and I did manage to do a day trip a couple of weeks ago just before all the rain came down. I am still downloading those images too but The one I have posted here was on that day trip and was a first time to spot this little bird. Yellow Thornbill, oth...er name: Little Thornbill Size: 10cm Breeds: Aug-Dec Eggs: 2-4 We didn't spot 2 of them just the 1 and it was very small, very quick and kept most in the thick growth of the taller gum trees and natives trees. We were very lucky to spot it being so small and against the green trees very hard to see. It did hover at flowers and seeds in these tall trees but not for very long. They are found down most of eastern Australia and just a small way into South Australia. Now we know where they are we will certainly be back there once I get my freedom back again. He was having a lovely time singing along on his perch. See more

18.01.2022 Yesterday I witnessed a near crash between two spotted Doves. One was munching on some seed for its morning tea and just started to fly off when another spotted dove came flying around the corner very fast. I don't know how they missed each other. I was taking photos of the spotted dove eating at that time, that was how I caught this on camera. It all happened so fast. They are 2 very lucky spotted doves

17.01.2022 Too cute these Blue-faced Honeyeater juvenile siblings, what a mouth full, but they look so innocent

15.01.2022 When the rain came down most of the birds stayed under the thick canopies of the trees surrounding our property. The exception was the Rainbow Lorikeet. They continued to perch in our happy plant and fly around in the rain, even performing a little trapeze. What show offs they are but I wouldn't be with out them or their daily antics. When these photos were taken it was early morning overcast and pouring with rain, with just short breaks from the heavy rain.

13.01.2022 Some more of our unique beauties

08.01.2022 Well I decided to ditch the yard work today to have the day with myself and my camera and I wasn't disappointed. Now just have to download them all, but thought I would share this little beauty with you today. Female Superb-Fairy Wren, and she was just so happy to sit while I took her photo. Isn't she beautiful?
