Being a bricks and mortar store, we survive because our local community supports us and we want to share the love! Our first shout out goes to @where_do_i_eat_pete and a local favourite @mezzapicacakes !... Mezzapicca make the most amazing cakes, and canolli's! They have been a staple in the local Inner West community and specifically in Leichhardt for over 50 years! Mezzapicca all began with Angelo Mezzapica who was born in 1912 in Lipari, Sicily, Italy. His father was also a pastry chef! This really warmed my heart as my father was a butcher, and so am I. I followed in my fathers footsteps as did Angelo and I am proud to be continuing my father's legacy as did he. Thank you for supporting us and other local businesses! Today we salute Mezzapica, an iconic local business! I think I need some Canollis!
