24.01.2022 Elwood Plogging Group is BACK! Kicking off this Saturday, we're returning to our regular weekly plogs. We'll meet at 9am in front of Elwood Sailing Club every S...aturday morning, starting this week. We'll be introducing just a couple of new rules...to help keep everyone safe: - Please bring along your own gloves. We'll have some spare pairs available but it's probably safest (and most hygienic) to bring your own. Just make sure that they're durable enough and offer you protection from sharp objects. - When plogging, please make sure that you keep socially distanced from your fellow ploggers (i.e. keep a distance of 1.5m apart). We'll have hand sanitiser available so you can clean your hands at the end of the plog And of course we'll bring back the group photo...we'll just make sure that we're spread out! We can't wait to see you all on Saturday, kicking off at 9am and wrapping up no later than 10am.

07.01.2022 From 11:59pm on Sunday 18 October 2020, individuals can go boating and fishing (powered and unpowered) within 25 km of their residence and no time limit applies.... Boat ramps and jetties are open. If you’re at a ramp or jetty, you must adhere to physical distancing of at least 1.5m. Group limits of 10 people from two households apply, and you must wear a fitted face mask at all times, unless you have a lawful reason not to. Boating maintenance is permitted with marine and specialist mechanics able to operate as required for the safe operation of boats. This means that people can take their boats and trailers to businesses that provide boating safety inspections, necessary servicing and maintenance services within 25 km of their residence, unless the nearest service provider is further than this. The border between metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria remains in place. People from metropolitan Melbourne cannot enter regional Victoria unless they have a permitted reason and vice-versa. Recreation such as boating is not a permitted reason for travelling across the border between metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. Marine businesses with COVIDSafe Plans are open, and must have the four square metre rule and cleaning requirements in place. For more information visit the Business Victoria website www.business.vic.gov.au. Staying safe is more important than ever. So please, keep wearing a mask, keep maintaining your distance and if you feel sick, get tested and stay home. 04.01.2022 We’re growing our Boating Vic ramp camera network and we need your help! Take our survey to tell us where you want to see boat ramp cameras. Our Port Phillip ...and Western Port ramp cameras are live - at www.boating.vic.gov.au and the Boating Vic app - to help boaters and paddlers determine which launching location they want to head to before making the trip. Now we want to hear your thoughts on which launching facilities across the state would benefit from one of our ramp cameras. There’s also the option to enter the draw to win a Boating Vic prize pack, complete with a bunch of goodies to keep you safe on the water this summer. Vote for one of our suggested spots, or tell us which one we’re missing: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/boatingvicrampcams See more
