25.01.2022 LASH LIFT VS EXTENSIONS For those umming and arring about which they should get, from experience it comes down to lifestyle. If you’re a time poor mum for example, lash lifts are golden! It takes 1hr max and will last you up to 6-8 weeks, and are very low maintenance. If you want a little extra ‘je ne sais quoi’ by adding more fullness or want to add extra length, extensions are the way to go. The initial appointment for classic lashes (as featured above) can be up to 1hr... 45mins with an hour maintenance appointment every 3 weeks to keep them neat and tidy (aka no spider legs). 22.01.2022 Where do I even start? Two years ago Elysian Cartel was a team of one freshly made redundant from my marketing position at Doughnut Time before its very public fall from glory. What I thought would be a little business to that would satisfy my drive and love for lash extensions, I would have not believes anyone if they had told me that redirecting my creative focus to brows would transform that little business into the bustling little beast it is today. TWO YEARS and we SKY...ROCKET to number 2! Unbelievable! I cannot take the credit for this at all. This business is made up of all the feedback, advice, love and support of our exceptional clients who we have the honour to serve. Our artistry, the awards, our excellence, pieces of you. 20.01.2022 FIRSTS AND LASTS And on the very last day before we had to put down our tweezers and turn off our wax pots, I was so honoured to give this little cutie her first sculpt and set the standard for what a good brow appointment should look like so she can use it as a measure for the rest of her life #blessed. 18.01.2022 HENNA BROWS After using a one henna brand for the last 18 months I’ve realized that what works for one person, won’t work for another. So I’m now working with THREE Henna brands! Each initial appointment will include a patch test with all three brands to see which works best on YOUR skin in terms of colour and longevity. . Brow Lamination is a treatment to which gives you the ability to reset your brow hairs so they sit how you would like them to. Whether it be that you would like the fluffy brow look on the daily, or would just like to tame your brows or create uniformity, lamination is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. This is a perfect before and after to give an example of what can be achieved. Results last between 6-8 weeks depending on growth. . 12.01.2022 THE entry that got me 6th place in the Classic Lash Category in the @victoiresduregard World Eyelash Extension Championships. It’s been 8 months since I completed this set and I come back to it every so often challenging myself on the finite details that will tip me over from 6th to 5th next year. . I believe that if you look at your work and don’t know how you can improve, it’s a warning sign to book yourself in for a new course to see things from a new perspective. This yea...r I trained with American Master Stylist Trina from @mavenartistry and after a few months of meditating on the new techniques I’ve picked up at the course and daily attuning my eyes to what GREAT work looks like on a global level, I think I may have unlocked within my skill set what will up my game for next year. 02.01.2022 Hey Queens! I type this with freshly sanitised hands (finally found a use for this emoji that’s not boob grabby). . I wanted to take a second to let you guys know that Elysian Cartel is open for business as usual and to update you one a few small changes we’ve made in response to the current climate. . As our clients already know, we uphold strict hygiene practices in the salon to avoid cross contamination and the spread of disease and germs. This includes sanitation of our... tools after every client, washing and sanitising hands before and after appointments and wearing face masks. However we have implemented additional precautionary measures as of Monday 16th March 2020. We have removed all bed coverings and will now allow extra time between clients to disinfect the massage bed and surrounding items. Its still quite warm in Brisbane but if you feel you will get chilly while having your lashes and brows done, you are welcome to bring your own blanket to use during your appointment time. All high traffic surfaces, counter, mirrors, eftpos machine, doors will be disinfected every hour to put your minds at ease, however we still encourage you to sanitise your hands as before and after your appointment. Single use gloves can be worn for lash appointments at your request. As always, we will wear a mask during your appointment.We have removed magazines from our waiting area, and hand sanitiser will be available to all clients at reception.
