08.01.2022 VULNERABILITY - it's a big word. Every day, I encourage and support my coaching clients to be vulnerable. Why? Because of the #truth, #simplicity, #authenticity, #growth and #strength that comes from being vulnerable. ... I'm no stranger to #vulnerability - a recent example? THIS PHOTO! Getting in front of the camera to create photos that represent me and my #brand. Growing up, I was that kid who hid behind mum, shy as anything (yes it's true!). Now, I facilitate workshops and speak in front of large crowds - not without nerves or a little bit of fear... but progressively less nerves and fear each time, because I continue to #bevulnerable and go out of my #comfortzone. For me, the photo shoot was #NEXTLEVEL - this was me being #vulnerable and expressing my #trueself (in a public place as people walked by), and it was in a captured on film FOR ALL TIME. 02.01.2022 My awe-inspiring, devastating and confronting time in Uganda with The Hunger Project reminded me of the power & beauty of the human spirit and a positive mindset, and of how truly blessed I really am. The Ugandan communities we visited expressed their gratitude for our support, but sitting in the Dubai airport on my way home, I realised the leadership lessons that the magnificent, inspirational women of Uganda had taught or reminded me were incredibly powerful.. so powerful t...hat I almost blew up my gratitude journal, and felt compelled to set myself new intentions and share them with my friends (and again today), as they are still true and part of my way of being and operating my business; I vowed to: ~ live through love, not fear; I will be fearless in the pursuit of what sets my soul on fire ~ live life more simply, authentically and to live all parts of my life through my values; I will walk away from people, places and things that don't allow this to live more transformationally and less transactionally, with open eyes, an open heart, and a curious mind ~ dance more, with my whole self, even if the whole village is watching (and if I fall over in front of 10,000 people, I will get up and continue dancing with a smile on my face) ~ continuously educate myself for the rest of my life..
