19.01.2022 UPDATE Im sure a lot of you have just seen Scott Morrisons announcement restricting hairdressers and barbers to 30 minute appointments at a time. We have just spent a great deal of time discussing what we think is going to be best for us as individuals and what will be best for our beautiful clients at Elysium. We concluded that from Thursday 26th March we will be only doing the following services to stick to the 30 minute time frame: ... Dry cut Tint Regrowth Blowdry Tint full colour Mens cut Every other service is now unavailable. We require all clients that wish to have an express service to come in with clean, freshly washed hair. We will not be washing any clients hair at the salon. For the colour services, all we will be able to do in the 30 minute timeframe is the application. You will be required to wash the colour off yourself at home (sorry no more head massages ) How this will work: We now do not have official opening hours We will not be in the salon unless we have an appointment. If you wish to have an express service with shay or Chevy please call or text Chevy 0405 145 428 and she will accomodate you as best she can. Please note that the salon phone is still disconnected due to telstras outage. We will be calling clients who have upcoming appointments with us first thing tomorrow, if you need to get in contact with us please call or text 0405 145 428. 18.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS At this mornings COVID19 Media Briefing NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant announced the Lane Cove Local Government area is now considered a... virus hotspot. The NSW Government want more people to undertake COVID19 testing. To encourage this testing they are naming hotspots. By doing this they want people who live in a hotspot to have a COVID19 test even if they only have mild symptoms like a sore throat or a runny nose. The Lane Cove stats include all cases in 2066 and 2065 - however, we should all remain vigilant, social distance. We cannot be complacent - social distancing and staying at home are still important. Go out get what you need and then come straight home. 13.01.2022 Good morning everyone . Just an update on where we are at with our temporary closure due to Covid-19 . We are waiting patiently to see the outcome of the easing of restrictions and whether new infections decrease or increase . Chevy and myself both have underlying medical conditions that make us extremely high risk to the virus and is why we have been extremely wary in reopening to soon. We are keeping fingers crossed that we can confidently reopen in the near future without the affect of a second wave of infections . 05.01.2022 What a strange time to be alive. We are feeling the affects that the Coronavirus pandemic has and still is causing to everybodys lives, whether is be financially, socially or health. It is quite complicated for us as hairdressers at the moment. We can feel the stress that a lot of you are under and have heard first hand how it is impacting so many of you, and we understand the need for a little pamper. We can also understand those of you who have decided to post-pone your ...appointment for 2 weeks or a months time. As of today, Elysium Hair Design will remain open. Although, we have had to take some drastic measures to ensure the safety of our staff, guests, and families. Those measures include: - Amanda will not be attending the salon until further notice due to self-isolation - We will not be doing any childrens haircuts - Social distancing we have decided that we will only allow 3 clients in to the salon at a time, what this means is that some appointments will be moved to a different time or a different day. Please be mindful that we are doing this for everybodys protection and will ensure that we can accomodate everybody as best as possible. - there will be no magazines in the salon as they are almost impossible to properly disinfect - BYO cup! We have removed all of our mugs from the salon, if you wish we have disposable cups available and a bin has been placed at the front of the salon for the disposable cups. The other alternative is to byo. - there are hand sterilisers at every station for your use while youre in the chair - if you choose to wear a mask or gloves we are encouraged by that choice We will continue sterilisation practices in the salon as we have for the past few weeks. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful clients for the support and patience you have given Elysium Hair Design and all other small businesses in Lane Cove. 03.01.2022 An Important Update For Our Clients We would like to address the growing fears around the spread of COVID-19. We feel it is important to share with our clients the measures that we have put in place to protect our staff, families and other guests in our salon. Our standards of health and safety have always been a top priority at Elysium Hair Design and we would like to ensure all customers that we have taken even more precautions. ... As hair and beauty professionals we are in close contact with many different people on a day to day basis. This means that we are at risk every day to exposure to the coronavirus as well as other clients who we might have in at the time, many of which being older or high risk. The measures our staff have taken to ensure maximum disinfection include: -Extra cleaning of stations -We have placed a sanitiser at the front desk for regular use -Full disinfection of chairs -Magazines are now placed in the middle of the salon and will be sprayed with disinfected after each use -Our staff have been refreshed on all health and safety procedures It is quite a stressful time for most at the moment as I'm sure you're aware. For Elysium as a small business, we rely soley on face to face contact to be able to look after our clients, this means that our staff are very vunerable to exposure of many sickness everyday. We asked that if you fall under the below category, that you would please give us a call and reschedule your appointment for the recommended 14 days: -Have travelled overseas in the past 2 weeks -Have had cold/flu symptoms -Been asked to work from home -Have been at an event with 500+ people We would like to also let you know that until further notice we will not be taking any further appointments for Children under 17 or online bookings. We are also implementing a card only policy and will not be taking any cash payments We hope that everybody is looking after themselves and those around you, we encourage you to come in to the salon and to support all local businesses in this crazy time. We had a management and staff meeting last night and at this point for the sake of our own health , our families and clients we have agreed to remain closed . This is not a decision that was made lightly as we are all eager to return to work, but one we have made with the best interests in mind for all . Covid-19 has impacted so many people and we dont want to open and find we have to close again if numbers spike .
