22.01.2022 Ever wondered what the inside of a knee looked like?? Wonder no more... this is an mri image of my somewhat damaged left knee!!!!! 18days and counting till the surgery to repair the 2 tears in my meniscus and remove the menus so flap that is causing my knee to lock and to be excruitiatingly painful. Bring it on and let the recovery begin
22.01.2022 I have been waiting with bated breath to share this news with you all but wanted to wait until my beautiful crown and sash arrived. To say I am honoured and proud to be part of a pageant program that sets a mission and honours and values that mission. It is with much excitement that We announce, as of Tuesday 1st September, 2020, we will be entering a new phase of our journey on the International Pageant Stage as Ms Australia, New Zealand, Oceania World Universal. The Ms Wor...ld system has been postponed. We are thankful for where our journey began, but are excited to be collaborating with Ms World Universal in the US to continue our journey. We will be crowning our inaugural Ms Australia, New Zealand, Oceania World Universal Titleholders March 2021. It is with great honour that Australia has been selected to host the inaugural Ms World Universal International crowning in Sydney 10-16 August 2021. This will be a gala event raising funds for Cancer research and Tour de Cure. Ms Australia, New Zealand and Oceania World Universal National Finals will be held at The Stamford Sydney Airport Hotel 12-14 March 2021 and Ms World Universal International Finals will be held at The Stamford Sydney Airport Hotel 10-16 August, 2021. Ms Australia, New Zealand, Oceania World Universal is raising awareness and funds for cancer research through Tour de Cure and the Scott Canner Young Investigator grant. 21.01.2022 I am sorry I have been a little quiet on social this past week or so but there have been some big and rather unexpected changes in our world... last week I was stood down from my role as National Events Manager with JDRF, a job I loved, cherished and had so much passion for. Like many so many others, sadly, my role has become a statistic of the changing environment we are currently operating in under the COVID-19 pandemic. While sad and unsettling for me and for our family...... I have done the only thing I could do under the circumstances and the butterfly in me looked for the positives and rather than perceive this as the end, I have chosen to look at it as a new beginning and as an opportunity to launch Meraki Events and Public Relations and continue doing what I do best and what I love. I will always be grateful for my time with JDRF and for the beautiful people I have met and the friends I have made - there are memories and experiences I will never forget and will always cherish... however... it is time for this butterfly to spread her wings and soar!! 14.01.2022 Got my super hero on today... started the day with an awesome RPM session followed by a walk with my gorgeous fur babies... then rounded out the day with another hour long walk with the fur babies again this afternoon. It has been such a long time since I have been able to exercise... I am finally back to happy place
13.01.2022 As a Ms Australia World National Finalist people often have an instant opinion or expectation of the type of person you are or should be... however I can tell you, from personal experience, there is no ‘typical’ pageant queen. In the 7 months since I took the leap and made the decision to enter Ms Australia World, I have had the privilege to meet and get to know some of the most amazing, unique, special women, many of whom I now consider true friends. As pageant queens, we ar...e so much more than the crowns and sashes we wear with pride... we are strong, independent, intelligent women with heart and soul. We have skills and experience that are respected and valued. We are women who have passion and who fight for what we believe in. 11.01.2022 I had the immense pleasure this morning of being interviewed by the beautiful @loveacrystel for an episode of @behindthelenscb In preparing for this interview I have had the chance to look back at my life over the years... I was never the prettiest or skinniest girl in the room... nor was I ever the smartest kid in class or the fastest person on the field... but the one thing I always was (and still am) was true to myself and trie the person I was, to the person I am and to... the person I will always be... and I am actually ok with that. I look back on my life and look at the things I am over come, the things I have done, the things I have achieved and the experiences I have had!!!! There is not a single thing I regret, not a single thing I would change. All the pieces of my puzzle, the good, the bad, the great and the ugly are all pieces of me and all stones on my journey thru life. I would not be who I am without each and everyone of those pieces and experiences. I have learnt to love the person I am and I have learnt to believe in myself and everything I am capable of. I began an incredible journey back in November 2019... one that has reminded me and continues to remind me every day that beauty is not what people see on the surface but what radiates from within. I am so incredibly blessed to have people in my life that I can truly call friends. They make me smile... they believe in me and all that I am capable of. They build me up rather than put me down and they see me for the person I am, not a person they want or ex...pect me to be... and better still, they love me for it... I am more comfortable in my own skin now than I have ever been. I don’t like who I am... I LOVE who I am.
