21.01.2022 I’m still here. Isolation is still here. Babies are still being born. Work is still possible and I want new parents to know that even using just the front of their homes with safe distance, we can still celebrate new life and make beautiful memories. If you or someone you know in Brisbane has lost work and has a newbie in their house (or on the way) tag below or message and I’ll choose one at random to get in touch with to offer a mini shoot for free, just outside the house. It’s a bloody tough time for some (I know!) especially with a baby and I’d love to help celebrate new love safely during this challenging time and provide photos that can be shared with family and friends far and wide

21.01.2022 I’ll be sharing the ins and outs of photographing people @woodfordfolkfestival on a Street Portraiture walk, starting at Artisan Alley from 4-6pm daily. Looking for good light, how to help people feel comfortable for a photo (ps this woman offered to put on her rad sunnies for this pic), composition, capturing character and everything else that you may be curious about when it comes to photographing people - including a look into the settings on your camera of course :) Photography is a wonderful medium to interact with the world through and I’m looking forward to sharing what I’ve learnt so far x

17.01.2022 Last weekend my cousin Ange got married She pulled together an incredibly beautiful wedding, rather last minute - the original venue was burnt in the Batlow fires. It was an honour to photograph this special day. 16.01.2022 With so many events cancelled, I’ve now got time to open up some spaces for family shoots... I know some beautiful, private places in nature a short drive from Brisbane. Just you guys and me and my camera. A photo I took in the Goldfields, WA, sharing because it’s National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day - a day to celebrate the importance of family and culture for children. 05.01.2022 Just over one week ago I photographed Tahi (at under 24hrs old!) He’s held here by his Aunty and seems pretty happy about it He was born on the equinox and I was blown away by his strong, balanced energy - it was palpable! Was such a beautiful experience to come and take some photos for this family (see their ‘before shot’ last post). I’m thinking of all the mothers out there birthing babes into this new world. Thinking of everyone’s different experiences right now... the wild swings between what was and what could be and coming back to what is. This little fella was such a good reminder for me of balance and to focus on the present...
