08.01.2022 The original superbar. When the 3T Ventus debuted it set a new standard for aerobar aerodynamics. A massive airfoil eclipsed all bars that came before it. Ridden by Fabian Cancellara to win the World Time Trial Championship & the Time Trial Olympic Gold in 2008, this was a bar that made people stop and take notice. The Ventus utilised an integrated stem in both -17 & -6 degree (as pictured) configurations. Minimalist integrated brake levers and internal cable routing ro...unded out the bar beautifully. The included straight extensions were a product of their time, but thankfully theyve now been largely eschewed by the industry in favour of more ergonomic options, such as the reversed USE 30 degree extensions pictured. Coupled with custom 20 degree wedges and AeroCoach Align arm pads, this particular bar has been given a modern twist. As the Ventus came to market before the existence of electronic shifting, the base bar unfortunately doesnt allow for internal cabling of either Di2 satellite shifters or eTap blips. With a fixed stem length and minimal fore/aft adjustability of the original arm cups, this bar had minimal adjustability for fit. 05.01.2022 After her debut pro season last year, WA local @lisa_tyack is getting ready for another big year in 2019. Lisa came in to get setup with her new 155mm cranks (down from 167.5mm last season), which gave us the opportunity to refine her position and improve on her aerodynamics. 02.01.2022 Over the last four years Ive ridden tens of thousands of kms with this man, shared almost as many coffees and talked bikes and equipment endlessly. I know him well. @alcaird is one of WAs best triathletes (and last years National Duathlon Champion), as well as a formidable time trialist and rider. Over the last few years after a couple of bike changes, crashes and shoulder surgery, Al felt that his position on the bike had wavered, not in terms of his aerodynamics, but ...in comfort and not being able to generate the power he felt he should be. We set out to change that. Rider feedback is one of the biggest considerations in the fit studio. Over the course of the fit we trialled incremental changes, getting feedback for each change. Slowly we started transitioning Al into a position that was feeling more comfortable and powerful. The end result was bringing the armpads up by 30mm, lowering the saddle height by 23mm and moving the saddle forward 16mm. The clip shows Als neutral position initially, then moving to his shrug, which he can utilise as and when conditions and race dynamics require it. The first test was at last weekends Serpentine 40km TT in the middle of a 170km training ride.
