Some birthdays, a handful of weekends ...and a bucket of moments in the car." Our CEO Griffin Longley, the father of two now adults, remembers the parenting moments that seem fleeting and at the same time never-ending, the beautiful memories built along the way, and shares his hopes for nature play families at the beginning of another year. https://www.natureplaywa.org.au/2018-a-year-for-making-memo See more

13.01.2022 Talking to a device that talks back can be entertaining and educational for children. But psychologists say parents should be monitoring how kids develop relationships with these devices. Here are some tips:

12.01.2022 A young mom asked me how to help to make sure her child didnt have to go through some of the same pain she had. This mom had an especially difficult life but our discussion was familiar to me.

12.01.2022 Wonderful message. One caveat regarding the phrase "I get it." Said sparingly, it's wonderful. But if we offer the empathy being described here, our child (or partner or friend) will fully "get" that we "get" them without our declaring it so!

02.01.2022 Play-based learning can set your child up for success at school and beyond. Children are naturally motivated to play. A play-based program builds on this motiv...ation, using play as a context for learning.
