23.01.2022 DIY CORD BURNING PACK Cord burning is a gentle and respectful method to sever the bonds between the placenta and baby using candles, not scissors. It may be a simple process to slowly seperate the two, or a sacred event held with great respect and intention to honour the role of the placenta. Mindfully gathered, this pack includes everything you need for a cord burning ceremony:... - Beeswax Candles x 2 Hand rolled by Jodie @thirdsecret in Geelong. These candles are made from Pure Australian Beeswax with a pure cotton wick. They have a gentle sweet smell and burn for approximately 22 minutes when burnt horizontally. - Ceramic Bowl Handmade by Caitie @castletoncollective in Jan Juc. The lip of the bowl has been specially designed with a wave to rest each candle and your baby’s umbilical cord. The ceramic is also heat resistant making it safe to use with candles and to catch their wax. - Baby Protection Handmade by Cindy @embodhi_ in Geelong. Made with recycled cardboard and recycled aluminium foil to protect your newborn from the candle flames and heat. - Matches A little more special then you average redheads and to make sure there is no last minute rush to the shops. - Guide A printed guide detailing how to have a beautiful and safe cord burning ceremony.

21.01.2022 DEEP BREATHS I know everything is different at the moment. We are all trying to figure out how to function and live with the current changes. I don’t have all the answers for you but I do know how good it has felt to take a deep breath. While we are not able to climb mountains and soak in that crisp, fresh air... we CAN take moments throughout our day to pause and fully fill our lungs. Breath allllll the way in until your belly expands.. pause.. and let it out. and again. Have you ever appreciated oxygen so much?

21.01.2022 I could not be happier to get out into nature this weekend. What are your weekly rituals for a healthy body and mind? And more importantly... have you continued doing them this past week? We have these practices to stay on top of our health and not fall in a heap, but when we need them most, it seems so many people have abandoned them. I have done the opposite by increasing my 'happy habits', staying away from all news and honestly I have had a really positive week full of ap...preciation, reflection and gratitude. With what ever extra precautions you may have at the moment, please don't stop the things that make you happy, the things that release oxycotin in your body, the things that support your immune system. My weekly non-negotiables: - Eating healthy, fresh foods (plant-based) - Yoga with @wonderyoga - Chiropractic adjustment with @thein8life - Hugs & walks with my partner and fur baby Thank you so much @wonderyoga for staying open this week and @thein8life for an extra adjustment, supporting my nervous system and therefore my immune system. You both are the community health care facilities that should be overflowing at a time like the present Oh and Mother Nature, thanks for never closing your doors

20.01.2022 Happy New Year Do you prefer to celebrate New Year’s Eve or New Years Day??? Something I have been so grateful for the last few years has been focusing on celebrating News Years DAY instead of New Years EVE. ... I replaced late nights, often filled with ego/anxiety driven expectations, with early morning yoga and cute picnics Instead of ending my year with a bang... I’ve started new rituals to begin each year feeling fresh and happy

17.01.2022 PALO SANTO Palo Santo, also known as Holy Wood, has an irresistible sweet-citrus and earthy smell. It is used to cleanse negative energy and amplify positive energy, bringing peace, balance and clarity to an individual and/or area. I offer Palo Santo cleansing at the beginning of all Birth Blessings. My main intentions with the Palo Santo are to calm any anxious feelings or fears in the women of honour and her guests, amplify feelings of creativity and love & create a softeni...ng in the room to identity the ceremonial space. I was first introduced to Palo Santo by a friend when I was a teenager. He couldn’t remember what it was called however he told me the name sounded like Placenta. After some crazy google searching amazing smelling placenta wood I eventually found this sacred item and now have a sweet little story connecting it to Placentas

12.01.2022 WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK What a magical week it has been seeing so many women celebrate and share their breastfeeding journey. I am so grateful for the women before and beside me who help make us feel safe (and MAGNIFICENT!) in doing this. Breastfeeding for so many is not an easy journey and it’s common for new mothers to be concerned about not having enough milk for their babies or their milk not coming in at all.... Most importantly these women need LOVE, encouragement and support from their family and healthcare team. Secondly we find support for our bodies through practices, services and products. Have you considered consuming your placenta to help support your breastfeeding journey? Improved lactation is one of the most commonly report benefits from women who consume their placenta, along with improved mood, increased energy and reduction in vaginal bleeding.

11.01.2022 WHENUA BY KATE ALICE A common request I have been receiving recently has been to save a small piece of placenta from encapsulation for home burial. With this request I have been sharing my favourite placenta poem around so I thought I would post here to share with you too. Learning about burying the placenta and returning him/her back to Mother Earth was what got me into this business (literally!). It is something I have so much love and respect for so I am always more than h...appy to facilitate this request. I have also created a DIY Placenta Burial Pack for women who do not wish to encapsulate. It is a super affordable option to allow every women access to honouring their placenta.

10.01.2022 Placenta Tincture is your personal formula you can drop into a glass of water and consume with the same intentions as placenta capsules. It often comes in perfect time for when your capsules begin to run out, as it takes 6 weeks from the preparation date to be ready for consumption. Placenta Tincture should last indefinitely which women claim is helpful during times of challenge over their lifetime, such as menopause. Placenta Tincture is made with a small piece of raw placenta steeped in 100 PROOF alcohol in a 50ml dropper bottle. The alcohol I use is made from 100% grain neutral spirits that have been distilled six times. Please note you are welcome to purchase more than one tincture bottle with each encapsulation.

05.01.2022 While my ebooks are not ready yet to share with you, I will still be posting loads of yoga photos ! I hope I can be a reminder or help, for even just one person, to roll out their mat and have at least one mindful pose. Then the journey is yours and I know you will be hooked. When I first started finding my practice, I would see amazing poses on instagram I wanted to do. I quickly learnt to get to that 'goal pose' I had to start with the basics, create length, space and aware...ness in my body (over weeks, months or years). Then I would either get to the pose I first saw and feel as amazing as I had the entire journey there. Or I wouldn't... and I would feel amazing strength from learning how to respect and love my body and its limits more than ever. If you have any questions about my posts, poses or your own practice, please feel welcome to message me xx See more

04.01.2022 ISOLATION BIRTH BLESSING While we are not able to gather all the special women in our life into one sacred space to support and bless a mumma-to-be, I wanted to offer something we can do! CONNECTION THREAD - Is one of the most simple yet profound activities I offer at all Birth Blessings. Where a peice of thread/material is used to weave a circle of sisterhoood, helping us visualise our connection to each other, women throughout history and Mother Earth.... At a Birth Blessing we would pass a ball of yarn around, wrapping it around each womens wrist until we are all physically connected. We then cut the thread and each women ties it into a braclet to wear until they hear the news of bubs arrival earth side, holding onto the energetic connection, created. This is a daily reminder to keep mumma-to-be in your thoughts and source of strength she knowns she can draw from if she needs. Traditionally the thread is created from cotton or hemp and is the colour red, symbolising love, feminie spirit and blood. I personally felt strongly drawn to purple before even learning it symbolises spiritual guidence, power and innate wisdom. However while we are at home, lets get creative! What ever thread, string, material, (floss if you're desperste) you can find, will do perfectly! For ISOLATION BIRTH BLESSING you can find your own thread/material, tie it around your wrist and visulise this act strengthening your energetic circle. This could be done on your own, where you can send a photo of your bracelet to mumma-to-be so she knows you are thinking of her (remember to tag her in this post so she understands). OR set up a facetime/zoom call with your sisterhood and as each women ties her bracelet, allow her the oppurtunity to offer some wisdom, a positive birth story or best wishes for mumma-to-be (remember positive only - bubba is listening).

04.01.2022 Merry Christmas Every year many of us remember and celebrate, likely the most well known, natural ‘home’ birth story across the world. With commonly the focus on the baby, do many of you remember and celebrate the Mother? The powerful, awe-inspiring, ecstatically primal woman, Mary?... Despite our religion and what we believe in or practice, I simply wanted to share with you this incredible and real depiction of birth. Have a wonderful day today and remember to celebrate our mother’s ‘The Creation of Man’ (2017) by @natalielennard #birthundisturbed

02.01.2022 The EMBODHI website is now LIVE Finally all my products and services are gathered for you to see easily with more information. www.embodhi.com.au

02.01.2022 Happy Mother Earth Day During these unforseen times on Earth I wanted to share something I have been celebrating recently - The whole world has moved inside. THE WHOLE WORLD... is moving inward. Did you hear that? Did you take that in? Never in my lifetime have so many people's energy been about moving inward.... I have been visulising the strong inward journey pregnant women experience being amplified out of their homes rooftops by everyone else's similar focus. May I encourage you to be grateful for this time. With more time to spend with yourself and your bub. There are amazing things you can be doing together to enjoy the remaining weeks of your pregnancy and prepare for birth. You could start with reading more books to learn more about pregnancy, labour, birth and the first few months as new mothers. You can meditate together. Watch a video on how your baby moves and turns through your vaginal canal so you can visulise it together. Create a clear image in your head of this and play it through start to finish, everyday! Many mums have told me this helps them connect to their bub and create energy around having the natural birth they desire. Get creative! Play an instrument for your bub, read story books to him/her and start finger painting on your belly or all over your body! Oh and of course.. learn about your placenta! Discover how this magnificent bridge offers life and friendship for your baby. My website is loaded with options you can do to honour the wonderful role it has played. Please feel welcome to message me if you have any questions, looking for book recommendations or anything inbetween Have a wondeful day Artist: @celeste.in.the.river

02.01.2022 CORD BURNING Cord burning is a gentle and respectful method to detach a newborn from their placenta. This practice allows a moment of intention to appreciate the placentas vital role in the baby’s life in the womb and also allows the newborn time to emotionally and spiritually seperate from their partner. A few reasons you may like to consider cord burning:... ~ In Chinese medicine it is believed the heat from the candles ignites the yang element of fire into this practice encouraging all of the ‘qi’ or ‘life force’ to move from the placenta and into your baby. ~ The cauterising of the cord reduces the risk of bleeding and infections. It has also been said to help the umbilical stump fall off quicker. ~ It is a beautiful option for parents who want more than to cut the cord with scissors at birth yet do not wish to have a full Lotus Birth. ~ Beeswax candles can bring unique spiritual and energetic power to your ceremony while also purifying the air! When burnt, beeswax produces negative ions which can help to remove pollution from the air. Scissors... clearly inferior. ~ Cord burning can be completed soon after birth or more commonly hours or days after birth, at your convenience. To purchase everything you need for your cord burning ceremony, contact Cindy: DM | [email protected] | 0431 959 396

02.01.2022 DREAMY DUO These two complimenting items are both consumable creations made from your placenta. It is common for women to find their placenta capsules most supportive during their fourth trimester, taking capsules from day 1 or 2 after birth and throughout their 6 week postpartum period.... After this period when a women’s capsules may begin to run out is when her placenta tincture comes in perfect time. The tincture can be used to help women wean off taking their capsules and then during challenging times over her lifetime, such as menopause. Reasons for this consumption timeline are due to the potency of placenta capsules likely decreasing over time whereas placenta tincture should last indefinitely. The tincture also takes 6 weeks from the preparation date before it is ready to be consumed. Please note: the number of capsules you receive depends mostly on the size of your placenta however you are welcome to order multiple bottles of tincture.

01.01.2022 CANDLE LIGHTING Candles are magical mood-setters used to announce intention and offer light. In the beginning of a Birth Blessing, each guest is given the opportunity to share a wish/insight/mantra for the mother and baby, followed by lighting a small candle. Drawing from this collective energy, I then light the large candle in the centre of the circle to invoke the birthing power within the guest of honour.... After the ceremony, the large candle is gifted to the mother-to-be for her to relight when labour begins. This is to remind her of the love, support, wisdom and strength which surrounded her during her Birth Blessing. The small candles are gifted to the guests who lit them, to relight when their intuition tells them mumma-to-be is in need of some additional support. Knowing all these candles from loved ones are burning on her behalf, will top-up her energy.
