25.01.2022 We love seeing young people step out in mission. We know you guys have the passion and commitment to change the world. But sometimes it can feel isolating in our local churches and community groups. But we want to support you in living out your faith. And we want to help connect you to other passionate young people like you! embody Mission Communities are designed to sit alongside the things you already do, and draw out the best of what God is doing in you and your com...munity. The program won’t conflict with your ministry work, your study, or your other leadership development programs. They provide time for you to focus on you, to identify ways you want to grow and develop. We're taking applications for places in our 2021 Mission Communities now. We'd love to hear from you wherever you are located! Find out more at www.embody.org.au/missioncommunities, or dm us for more information. See more

19.01.2022 Let's take some time to reflect on our challenge together to learn more from the challenge, and see how it impacts our lives, and our faith beyond September. Purpose is very important in our life. Why do we do certain things the way we do? Why have we not changed certain things we do? This can also be applied for the Safe Water September challenge! Why exactly have you chosen to take part in this challenge? What is the purpose of Safe Water... September to you? Let us know why you took the challenge or join in the full discussion with our SWS community in our discord server at www.embody.org.au/discord

The reality is we can't take a big fundraising challenge every month of the year. But we challenge you to think of ways you can continue to learn and put your faith into action even outside of September. What are some things you could be doing to live out your passions? Maybe you've already started!... embody exists to help young people take action in mission. we are her to help resource, empower and connect you so that you can make a difference right where you are! 15.01.2022 How good is Chocolate? We love Chocolate, but are our favourite Easter treats coming at a cost to our Global Neighbours? As our friends at @beslaveryfree say Chocolate's great, but kids working tough jobs in dangerous conditions for their families to earn less than A$2 a day isn't. In the lead up to Easter, @beslaveryfree are working to help end Child Exploitation in Chocolate production, and you can help advocate!... It’s estimated that a huge 1.5 million children work in cocoa production in West African nations to farm the cocoa. Chocolate is a multi-billion dollar industry, and yet for every 100 grams of chocolate sold, cocoa farmers in West Africa receive around 19 cents. Be Slavery free have a number of ways you can advocate and consider your part in this issue. Check their page out to learn about their petition, calling for living wages, better transparency and the prevention of child labor among other things. Head to https://beslaveryfree.com/chocolate and scroll down to find the petition (not available on mobile)

14.01.2022 Today marks the end of NAIDOC week, a time to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and achievements. As the week ends, we wanted to share this reflection from @gmpaustralia. Always was, always will be.... Together we celebrate NAIDOC 2020 and reflect on the theme that reminds us of the One who is, who was and who is to come. The theme Always Was, Always Will Be. recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. And we want to listen to our Indigenous brothers and sisters who continue to invite us to be spiritually and culturally connected to this country and to each other. Even as NAIDOC week comes to an end, let's continue to listen.

10.01.2022 You guys have done an amazing job this Safe Water September! As we enjoy our well earned bevs, let’s remember the reason we did this challenge! The impact safe water has! When a community receives access to safe water, it literally changes lives and transforms the community. Time and time again it has proven to be one of the most cost efficient and effective ways of ending poverty and improving public health. The effects start by improving health and hygiene, dropping disease rates and flow on to the wider community. You’re helping invest in these incredible changes, by supporting the work of our partners! Thankyou!

04.01.2022 We’ve all experienced some form of isolation this year. Missing our friends and family. For young girls, the task of collecting water can be isolating. Imagine missing your school class with your friends, because you need to travel to collect water for your family? Or missing your after-school time with your family. But you're helping to change this. Boreholes and water tanks place safe water right in local communities. This means young girls spend less time collecting water and can spend that time with their friends and families and on their education! The challenge may be over, but donations are open all October! Keep up the awesome work fundraising for these life-changing projects!
