23.01.2022 New PB alert!!! Its been years, not exaggerating, since Ive hit a PB with any strength exercise. Since having my daughter Ive equalled a heap, including in this video, I hit my PB of 55kg, I then went on to get a 57.5kg 1RM thruster.

15.01.2022 Women aged 19-51 need 1,000mg of calcium and those aged 51+ need 1,300. If you are not consuming dairy for whatever reason youll find your calcium in tinned salmon or sardines (with the soft bones) or in non animal products like almonds, chickpeas, broccoli, Bok Choy, kale, silverbeet, cucumber, dried figs, dried apricots and many more. I can see a few amazing salad or stir fry ideas right there...
15.01.2022 Our first Core and Floor workshop was a success! Thank you to all those who attended, and thank you to those who have already given us your extremely valuable feedback.
15.01.2022 MAKE. YOURSELF. PRIORITY. You can: find a sport or exercise that you enjoy, find incidental exercise where you can, drink lots of water and eat a balanced diet. There are so many pillars of your health that are supported by quality diet and exercise. What do you do to make yourself a priority?
15.01.2022 Housework and its associated mental labour have long-term economic consequences, particularly for womens employment. A more equal division of household chores can significantly contribute to the mental wellness of women, particularly working women. Source: Work 180 check out this article, plus a SUPER AMAZING family chores checklist to help!!!! https://au.work180.co//a-mothers-day-gift-that-lasts-beyon
12.01.2022 Another PB today. 3RM touch and go power clean. 60kg. I had a bit more in there I think, just ran out of time to try again.
12.01.2022 EARLY DETECTION IS KEY!! Self exam and see your GP if something doesnt seem right. Advances in medicine, technology and awareness of the risk factors have also helped, but early detection is most important.

10.01.2022 "bouncing back" from pregnancy and birth. Its like a red flag to a bull. I hate the expectation that women are to "bounce back". This is what bouncing back looks like in reality: nearly 2 years after having my daughter Im hitting some personal bests with strength and fitness. Some areas Im stronger than ever and some areas Im not as great. Every body is different. At first I tried to recover fast, because thats what everyone expects. After having my daughter the comments... about my body bothered me more than ever, not because they got to me, but because I dont care what I weigh, what size clothes I wear, what size other people expect me to be. None of that matters to me, why would the way I look matter to someone else? I want to be strong and healthy for a long time and dont want to injure myself, so that meant a longer recovery after a birth injury. 62.5kg overhead squat, thanks See more

07.01.2022 MYTH: "I havent had a baby so dont need to worry about my pelvic floor" FACT: Pregnancy or vaginal child birth are only ONE of the many risk factors associated with pelvic floor dysfunction. Males are not safe from pelvic floor issues, but females generally experience more risk factors. Learn more in my FREE Core and Floor workshop at PFRM in Capalaba, spots are filling fast https://www.facebook.com/events/2534241733275250/
07.01.2022 That face you make when you get your first muscle up final day of competition tomorrow and should be the best! @torianpro
07.01.2022 I dont use a weightbelt when I train. Why? I train my body to perform functional movements, therefore I want my core and other supporting muscle groups to brace without external assistance. When I pick up that toddler chucking a tantrum I wont have time to throw a weightbelt on. I dont want to create unnecessary downward pressure on my pelvic floor. Lifting movements already create additional pressure in this area, which your body needs to learn to support, adding even ...more pressure could overload these muscle groups. Ive carried a baby in my body and given birth, which resulted in a minor birth injury which Ive only just (19 months later) managed to rehabilitate. Weightbelts have their place in competition or one rep max testing. If youre female and want to learn more about how your core and floor interact in every day training, come to my workshop on 17 August https://www.facebook.com/events/2534241733275250/

04.01.2022 The first weekend of September is Womens Health Week in Australia. Each day I will share one statistic relating to womens health in Australia to help raise awareness of the various unique health challenges that women face. Todays statistic is brought to you by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare report, 2006
02.01.2022 I love coaching. I love seeing athletes achieve something that I knew they could do, even when they second guess themselves, they trust you to coach them through it.
01.01.2022 I love being part of a community where we lift each other up, even when were on competing teams #Repost @pfrm_redlands (@get_repost) Coach Emma Leading From the Front
