20.01.2022 Did you know that protein is the most important nutrient to include in your diet if you want to lose weight and build lean muscle mass? Here’s why: - Protein helps satiate hunger, filling you up for longer you up so that you don’t feel the need to snack so much... - It boosts your metabolism so that you burn more calories - It helps reduce cravings - It prevents muscle loss which in turn keeps your metabolic rate higher and keeps you burning more calories - It helps muscle repair, so every time you do your workout, protein will actually help your body create that lean muscle you crave! Here’s some quick tips to ensure you’re adding a little extra protein to your daily diet: Breakfast Porridge with honey add some nuts and seeds or a scoop of protein powder. Lunch Brown rice salad add some cottage cheese and hemp seed sprinkle Snack Fruit Smoothie add a scoop of vanilla protein or a spoonful of your favourite nut butter Dinner Tuna Steak with Chinese green veg top with a boiled egg These meals are quick, easy and can be easily thrown together even if you get home from work late. If you’re a vegan and think you’re not getting enough protein in your meals, think about a protein supplement that’s high in Lysine as this is the essential amino acid you may not be getting in enough quantities. What's your favourite Protein source?

17.01.2022 It's time to register your daughters!! (Aged 12-17) We start Friday April 30th ladies so please send an email to [email protected] to secure your daughter a spot. This program is great for our girls to develop their strength, endurance and cardiovascular fitness. It is a great way to introduce resistance training with a focus on correct technique in a supportive, non intimidating, non-judgemental environment.... At Embrace we are all about empowering women and that starts early on. We'd love the opportunity to work with your daughter over the coming 8 weeks. 13.01.2022 Sara and Karleigh learning the steps to master a shoulder stand. A shoulder stand will make you feel calm as it quietens the nervous system and Improves digestion. It will strengthen the arms, stretch the shoulders and reduce fluid retention in the legs and feet. ... The position can reduce fatigue and can help you to improve your sleep. Shoulder stand can also nourish the thyroid and para-thyroid with blood. I believe it’s important to give you opportunities to explore new poses week to week. Remembering there is no perfection in yoga, we are all individuals moving in our own way. So each day we step on our mat we accept without judgement that we are exactly where we are meant to be. 08.01.2022 I'm sure that we all have been touched by breast cancer in someway. A scare or a diagnosis. A friend, a family member, a co-worker or ourselves. The aim of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to shine a light on the devastating impact breast cancer has on thousands of Australians each day. Almost 20,000 Australians will be diagnosed with the disease this year alone. That equates to 55 Australians every day.... And nearly 3000 Australians will lose their lives to breast cancer this year. That’s someone’s mother, sister, friend or family member whose life has been tragically cut short because of the disease. Although the five-year survival rate has increased from 76% to 91% since 1994 thanks to research, there is still progress to be made to stop deaths from breast cancer. By targeting the remaining 9% who don’t live past this survival rate, National Breast Cancer Foundations goal is to reach zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. 07.01.2022 Name: Carla Nickname: Lala, Jacko, Flacko, Macaroni, Janine Bond. How did you find Embrace and how long have you been here: I was Kim’s guinea pig when she was first training to become a trainer so I’ve been around a loooong time but Hubby is in the Navy so have moved A LOT. I’ve come back (long distance from WA) in an administrative role to help Kim out so she has more time to focus on what is best about Embrace and that’s the community of wonderful women.... How do you describe the atmosphere at Embrace: While I have yet to have the chance to check out the new digs at Castlemaine Street I have loved being a part of the online community of Embacers. The support, encouragement, fun and comradery are infectious and inspiring. What do you think about the Embrace Trainers: The trainers are such an inclusive and supportive bunch. They really want to get the best out of each Embracer and push them to reach their individual potential. What is the best thing about Embrace: What I love about Embrace is that it’s a community of REAL women from all different walks of life, in all different stages of life with one common goal of feeling good in their own skin. How has Embrace made a difference in your life: It has made me realise that putting yourself first doesn’t mean putting everyone else last. It’s making sure you’re strong enough mentally and physically to be the best version of yourself for those you love most.

04.01.2022 Do it! It's easy, it's quick. There's no right or wrong way to check but if you're doing it regularly you are more likely to notice any changes. Remember to check all area's from your collarbone to your arm pits and while all breasts are different and feel different (even our own are different from each other) there are a few things to look out for: a new lump in your breast or underarm... pain in any area of your breast any change in the size or shape of your breast nipple discharge other than breast milk pulling in of your nipple or pain in your nipple area irritation or dimpling of your breast skin thickening or swelling of part of your breast If you have any concerns or questions please see your GP.
