Helps with weight loss Helps lower cholesterol Helps lower blood sugar levels Helps reduce the risk of heart disease Helps prevent diabetes Feeds your healthy gut bacteria .. and more! Women need at least 25g of fibre a day and it's actually not that hard to achieve. Include some of these high fibre foods in your meals each day and you will reach 25g in a flash! 1 cup of cooked beans of your choice Potato with the skin on 2 tbsp chia seeds absolutely packed with fibre! 1 cup of your favourite berries 1 green peas love ‘em! 1 apple 1 cup broccoli my favourite green veggie along with sugar snap peas And for a sweet treat, even dark chocolate! 23.01.2022 Do you LOVE Cauliflower? Each week in my Facebook Group, Women Embracing Wellness, a vegetable is featured along with a recipe featuring it. Last week it was all about Cauliflower. How versatile is this veggie?... Bake it, steam it, mash it, rice it, slice it, roast it, shred it the choice is yours. And cauliflower contains heaps of vitamins, is incredibly rich in antioxidants and has lots of fibre which is awesome for us women over 50. And do you know what else? It’s 92% water!!! It is really mild in flavour, so can be added to heaps of recipes, even smoothies!!!! My 2 favourite ways to eat cauliflower is roasted or processed to create cauliflower rice.
