10.01.2022 Cheap Solar Off -Grid Setup DIY 24volt cheap and easy setup anyone could build. I said the 24v panels were $1000, but they were only $800, so the system would total around 2.2k.... Parts I used (I have no affiliation with these companies) 330 W Watt 24V Volt 60 Cell Poly Solar Panel ( 250W Size! ) COST $200 each https://www.ebay.com.au//330-W-Watt-24V-Volt/333588499505 Pure Sine Wave Solar Inverter Off-Grid Hybrid COST $345 https://www.ebay.com.au//5000VA-3000VA-PWM-P/184046208317 Plus i sent $1000 on the 2volt x12 battery bank (ex Helstra phone tower) found the ad on Facebook marketplace. There are always good deals with batteries, BUT ask the right questions as they could be half dead. Mounting and battery connections $20 bunnings Fuses from Jaycar cost $50 for both. I will do a new video with how to from start to finish when I build the next system in the near future. I would say with load testing this could run around half our house off grid as heavy power users (family of 6) The next system I build will 100% run our business clinic including heat lamps and air conditioners with leftover power. The higher the voltage for any system the better! 12volt will cost double due to heavy gauge wires, that said 12volt is ok for cars, campers etc as you can buy 12 volt appliances anywhere, but better still you can use a cheap power convertor to make a 24 volt setup into a 12volt. #sustainableliving #solarsystem #offgrid #controlyourlife #selfreliance
