25.01.2022 What a fun three days learning how to teach kids and adolescents the art of yoga and mindfulness! I really wish I had learnt from a young age that I am not my ‘ANTS’ (Automatic Negative Thoughts) and that I have the power to cultivate my own inner peace/joy, that I can reduce my feelings of anxiety/stress and also develop my self-confidence in a playful and safe way. Looking forward to sharing my learnings and empowering my younger self to be more confident and grounded whilst navigating the emotional, mental and physical ups and downs of life.

13.01.2022 Me too. Interestingly, practicing yoga floods the brain with calming ‘GABA’ amino acids providing the same relaxed feeling we get after a few drinks (without the hangover). GABA is short for gamma-aminobutryic acid and is sometimes referred to as your body’s ‘chill out’ neurotransmitter. Research shows that yoga produces 27% more GABA in the brain than walking or reading your favourite book. Cheers to yoga! ... #asana #yogilife #hathayoga #hatha #namaste #yogis #yogateacher #yogalove #melbourneyoga #onlineyoga #yogapractice #yogaathome #stayhome #virtualyoga See more

11.01.2022 In the spirit of world mental health day, I have written a blog post about my own personal hurdle with mental health and how I learnt to let go through meditation and reconnect with my inner peace and happiness. 10.01.2022 A little encouragement for my Melbourne friends feeling the lockdown pressure. Keep walking, talking, running, reading, drawing, zooming, baking, shopping, caring and moving - we've come so far and done so well... not long to go now #yoga #melbourneyoga #zoomyoga #isoyoga #stayhomeyoga #lockdownlyf

10.01.2022 FUN FACT: I quit my corporate job in February to go travelling however flew home quite promptly when India announced their border closure returning from the beautiful and vast Himalayan mountains into two weeks’ isolation. From isolation, I started teaching yoga on zoom to my tour bus which gradually grew to friends, community groups, schools and corporates. This year, I have also completed my yoga teacher training for kids online and am now undertaking an advanced certif...ication in mindfulness teacher training. I have put my attention towards yoga and have received more than I could have ever imagined back in return - allowing me to stay grounded, connected and positive during what has been a crazy year. I'm grateful to everyone that has come on my journey - thank you for all your support and encouragement. Super excited to teach you in the flesh at Yarra City Council gyms once they open!! This is only the beginning See more

03.01.2022 I am willing to bet that there is not one person that doesn’t have feelings of anxiety at some point in their lifetime. When anxiety spirals out of control it can be awful - obsessive thinking, panic attacks and heart palpitations are just a few symptoms. This is something I personally struggled with for most of my early twenties. During anxious moments we tend to forget about the breath - it often moves to the upper chest and becomes shallow.... One technique to release feelings of anxiety is to focus on the breath and get out of the head. Breathwork and also meditation can help lower anxiety and stress giving control back. Curious to learn more? Join my Facebook group and come along to zoom #hathayoga where we explore the breath, movement and meditation https://m.facebook.com/groups/568241480711880 #melbourneyoga #zoomyoga #stayhomeyoga #isoyoga #yogateacher #anxietyrelief #ruokday See more

02.01.2022 Hi all, quite a few people have said to me recently that they are confused by the different types of yoga so thought I'd provide a little outline of popular styles for you including a brief history. More than happy to field any queries. Enjoy :)
