24.01.2022 The solar plexus chakra this chakra is located in the pit of the stomach, and has the element of fire. It is where our personal power, our ego, self worth, self belief and digestive fire lies. When your solar plexus is out of balance, you can question your self worth and you can feel nervous or afraid. We tend to get a sick feeling in our stomach, we sometimes feel nauseous and can experience heart burn. Ways to help strengthen this fire within us, is to breathe deeply in...to our stomach, and imagine a fire igniting within. This will help increase the energy given to this area. Getting outside in sunshine will help to fire up our inner flame also. Bathing in sunshine also helps to increase our vitamin D, which plays a massive role in creating a happy mood, regulates our immune system and balances our hormonal system. Eating more foods that ignite digestive fire will also help to strengthen this chakra, and in turn, help to balance it. Adding spices to your diet, adding foods with the colour yellow, and cooking your foods so they are warm to taste, all help to create warmth in your stomach, which will warm your solar plexus, aid in digestion and keep the fire burning See more

24.01.2022 Did you know, plants can actually help to increase your physical health as well as your emotional health? Over the years, I have become a proud Mum to over 100 plants. I am so lucky that my partner also has an addicted crazy plant person love affair with leafy friends too, so our home is a mini jungle sanctuary . Not only do plants look appealing, they also help to decrease stress levels, they help to clear your energetic field, they help to ground you, they help to improv...e sleep and they help to clean the air of your home. There’s nothing like coming home after a crazy day of being in the human world, to being surrounded by your beautiful indoor family. Instantly you can feel the stress and busyness wash right off you. Imagine having the energy of a baby tree in your bedroom. Imagine having the same vines in your home that grow naturally in jungles. Imagine growing from seedlings, future fruit giving delights (we have planted avocado, macadamia, lemon and mango trees all on our balcony). There are many ways we can help increase the strength of our immune systems and our mood, but many of those ways don’t look as beautiful as living greenery. Do yourself a favour and step outside. Take a stroll around your garden if you’re lucky enough to have one. Buy yourself a plant friend and pop her in your living room or bedroom. Bring nature to you. Start to create a beautifully alive home by adding in colour. You won’t only enjoy the appearance of these beauties, but you’ll also start to feel happier and clearer. Trust me. See more

21.01.2022 Do you ever notice how excited a dog gets at the prospect of a walk? Healing can be as simple as stepping outside and drawing on the energy of nature right at your doorstep. Health doesn’t always need to be bought If you’re at all stressed this week, grab your furry friend and take a leaf out of their book, rediscovering the simple pleasures that nature is always producing.

20.01.2022 Throat chakra this chakra is all about expressing your truth, and confidently voicing yourself. This chakra relates to your neck, shoulders, thyroid gland and throat. It is where we fully voice how we are truly feeling both to others, but most importantly to ourselves. How many times have you had a stiff neck or a sore throat when you’re irritated and aren’t speaking up? Or have you ever noticed if you get really agitated you tend to huff and puff? This is your throat chakr...a trying to release pent up energy. Our throat chakra is also one of the main energy centres where we fully accept feelings and where we let it out. This can be either through spoken word, written word, music, laughing or crying as examples. I have felt and experienced many various emotions over the last month about Covid-19. I have gone from a yeah, nah she’ll be right mentality to anger at others not following the rules. Frustration at others for going completely bonkers with over buying and having a me, me, me mentality. I’ve experienced annoyance that we are getting our basic human rights such as having a picnic with friends and hugging family members removed. I have gone through acceptance that this is the way things are now. I have felt gratitude for my health and the way our government is trying to minimise the spread and I have felt scared over my loved ones safety. After feeling these feelings in whims of energy, this all really knuckles down to one emotion many people don’t realise they’re feeling. Grief. I have been grieving for our planet, our families, the way so many people are scared, which causes them to act so selfishly. I have grieved for those who have lost their jobs and their livelihoods. I have grieved for those who have lost their lives, and for their families who can’t even bury them. I have grieved for the health workers and for the retail assistants who are all on the front line. Can you believe I took this photo whilst on a weekend getaway trip, only 3 weeks ago? The simple act of walking freely along a beach next to my partner, with children running around and swimmers enjoying the freedom of the ocean, seems like another world away. It is our duty as a part of this community on earth, that we feel. Feel everything. Feel all out varying emotions. Express them. Let them out. Share your words and your pain. If we all fully delve into what this virus has bought up for us, can you imagine how much cleaner and clearer our earth would be once this phase has passed? See more

19.01.2022 Dining out is such a pleasure, whether it be alone, or with family and friends. Treating yourself is always something I tell my clients to do. We are here to enjoy, after all. But, do you ever get worried that dining out will set you back? That it may affect your health or training or have hidden allergens in the food? I know I do. One of the most simple ways to enjoy eating out however, without skimping on our nutrition or flavour, is to order the sides. Skip the (oh so delicious) mashed potato, and go the sweet potato option or the steamed vegetable option instead. Give the vegetarian or vegan meal a go. Ditch the dairy and ask for olive oil as a dressing instead. There’s so many ways we can enjoy good quality, delicious food, and have fun at the same time.

17.01.2022 Your body has its own unique rhythm. Feel into it We are constantly being influenced by nature. Trust it Just as the ebb and flow of the tides are affected by the moon, so too are we. We are in a beautiful dance with nature herself. Just let go of the worry our body’s aren’t looking the way we would like, or working as well as we would like. Our body’s are constantly trying to find balance. ... Let it See more

16.01.2022 Connect. The peace you feel after switching off and reconnecting in nature is more than any herb or supplement can do, in my professional opinion

16.01.2022 Disconnect to reconnect. Often. So many clients I see are tired. Worn out. Using coffee as the only way to get through the working week. Emotionally drained. Physically drained. What’s one of the easiest and cheapest solutions? Nature. We are one with nature. Breathe into her. Get out in the sun. Swim in her waters. So this weekend, MAKE the time to go outside. Do your body and your soul a massive favour

15.01.2022 Heart chakra this chakra is located (yep, you guessed it) at the heart centre, or centre of the chest. When our heart chakra is open, we feel a sense of joy, happiness, a deep connection to all that is around you, and you have an appreciation for the beauty that surrounds you each day. This past month has been scary. It’s been unbelievably sad. People are getting sick, and some are dying. We can all feel the energy in the air of sadness, fear, lack and panic. So many peop...le are losing their jobs, and so many are scared that they’ll get sick from this virus. One of the biggest things that has affected me, is the new lockdown rule that we cannot hug, or be close to anyone that we don’t live with. For me, this is my family. The other day after seeing my mum 1.5m away, with gloves and a mask on, in a crowded, panicked supermarket (after yet another false total lockdown rumour) it felt so odd for me not to reach out and touch her. After crying like a baby when I got home, I messaged mum telling her how I was feeling, and she simply replied with our bond is so much more than physical, we’ve got this! She’s so right! I feel this time is such a beautiful opportunity to connect with our loved ones on a much deeper level than before. Appreciate them. It is a time to connect with your neighbours in ways you might not have before. Our local cafes. Our local supermarket and grocery store. Your local health food store. It is a time to truly appreciate your local bushland and nature. When you’re out for a walk, take a second to look into the eyes of a passing person and smile. Take note of the local birds who live near you, the trees, the flowers. Let’s use this time to truly appreciate what it means to belong to a community. Let’s band together and support one another. Open your hearts and the vibration of love will help your immune system beat stronger than it did before. We’ve all got this! See more

15.01.2022 Baking. What a simple, grounding, soul nourishing way to spend a day in isolation. It makes your whole home smell of warmth and deliciousness. I’ve found, and I know a lot of others I’ve spoken to, have found isolating yourself from others is a perfect excuse and reason to really hit the slow down button. Get creative. Get lazy. Don’t do a thing if you don’t want to. I made this delicious baked goodie on the weekend with incense on, the oil diffuser diffusing away (you ca...n never have too many yummy smells on at one time), Simply Red swooning in the background and the afternoon sun warming up the kitchen. What a way to slow down the soul This baked loaf of sticky banana heaven is not just a tastebud explosion and a soul lifter, but it helps to increase mood on a physical level too. Bananas naturally contain an amino acid called Tryptophan. This little guy is a precursor to creating all your fun happy hormones. So, baking can be delicious, healthy AND healing at the same time. Give it a go: - Preheat oven to 180 degrees. - Smoosh 2 overripe and oversmelly bananas in a bowl. - Add 1/3 cup coconut oil. Mix. - Add 3/4 cup rice malt syrup (yes, this recipe calls for a lot of sugar ). Mix again. - Add one teaspoon vanilla essence, 6 tablespoons water and 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar. Mix. - In a seperate bowl mix 1 3/4 cup gluten free flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp baking power and 1/2 tsp salt. - Finely chop 1 block of the most bitter dark chocolate you can handle, feeling free to nibble some as you go along. Add to flour mixture and stir. - Add flour mixture to banana mixture and stir. - Pop into a lined baking tray and whack in the oven for 45 minutes. - Enjoy I found this yummy recipe off theprettybee.com and altered it a tad to suit (the 1 block of chocolate was an addition). Check them out See more

14.01.2022 Base Chakra Our base chakra is situated at the base of our spine and sets our foundation up for all our other chakras. Its energy is based on the earth element and gives us a feeling of safety and grounding. Our adrenal glands and kidneys are connected to our base. So many of us are tired, ungrounded, don’t sleep, have adrenal fatigue, are always on the go with work and social activities and require coffee as our pick me up. This is a major sign that our base chakra is al...l out of whack. One of the easiest ways to realign and assist in the rebalancing of our base is yet again, nature. Get outside. Sit on the earth. Feel your line of energy in your body and along your spine enter into earth, drawing your energy down. I never hear of anyone feeling worse off after spending time amongst the trees. So, get on out there. There’s so much healing right outside your door See more

14.01.2022 With all the negative, disempowering, scare tactic media hype (it’s good to be informed, don’t get me wrong) lately about Corona Virus, what we really need to hear are positive ways to keep our immune systems strong. So many clients I’ve seen over the last 2 weeks have been anxious and worried, from what’s been said on the radio, television, Facebook and so on. We are all energetic beings and we feed off each other. It is so easy to fall victim to the energy of fear, which ...increases our stress hormones in our body, decreases and dampens our immune system, our digestion, our sex hormones and our mood. So, being nervous and worried about this virus (a little bit is normal, obviously) is actually making you more susceptible to catching it. One of the simplest ways (other than standing on Mother Earth) to cleanse and ground your energy field and clear away anyone else’s unwanted, negative energy is to use age old space clearing tools such as Sage, Palo Santo (try and make sure yours is sustainable) and homemade essential oil sprays with frankincense and lemongrass. These tools will help to clear anyone else’s feelings from yours, will help to strengthen your auric field and will make sure you aren’t as susceptible to feeling the collective energy. So, stress less, ground yourself, remind yourself that you are strong and that your body has got you covered so you can give it the best chance it has on remaining healthy See more

13.01.2022 Now, THIS has to be the tastiest benefit of growing your own food. Just look at that delicious bunch of balcony grown Rocket Growing your own food and eating it fresh after picking has bountiful benefits; it tastes purely magic, the nutrients are at its highest and you know it is 100% organic and loved all throughout the growing process. You can taste the difference. However, there are also medicinal benefits that you might not even know about Do you suffer from bloating...? Cramping? Excessive burping? Gastrointestinal pain or discomfort? Well, this could be your liver crying out for some attention. Growing your own herbal apothecary is one of the most simple ways to enjoy liver healing herbs. Rocket, with its bitter and peppery taste, ignites the energy within your liver, which in turn, stimulates digestion. 13.01.2022 One of the most important parts of Naturopathy, to me, is not just about giving supplements and herbs to aid in the healing process, but about educating my clients. Taking that little bit extra to thoroughly explain why you’re suggesting what you’re suggesting, and explaining what each herb or nutrient does for the body and how it’s going to help, is much more healing that just giving instructions on how to take them. Thank you to my lovely client for this beautiful recommendation

06.01.2022 With the cooler months creeping on in, and viruses popping up left, right and centre, it is imperative that we give our immune systems the best chance to fight off the nasties. Gentle movement, laughter, fresh air, clean water, sleep, sunlight and fresh, whole foods all increase the high vibrations within your body, and therefore increase your immunity. However, in this day and age, unfortunately, our foods don’t contain near the amount of nutrients as they did 50 years ago..., so we aren’t actually gaining all the micro and macronutrients as we once did. This makes it harder for our bodies to defend themselves naturally, as some of us are lacking in vital nutrients that act as helpers for our immune systems. One way we can assist in boosting up our nutrient intake, our healing power and our fighter cells however, are by ingesting medicinal mushrooms! They’ve been eaten and consumed in tonics for centuries and in nature they combat the same viruses, bacteria and pathogens that we do. This makes their defence systems extremely resilient to these nasties which, when ingested, helps our own immune systems fight them off too. One reason they are such a staple for me, is because they are so easy to use everyday. I put them in smoothies, soups, broths, teas and my very fave, hot chocolates. They have a slightly bitter to earthy taste, so they are easy to mask. A daily (delish!) tonic I drink is: - 1 tablespoon raw cacao - 1 teaspoon coconut oil - 1/2 tablespoon local, raw honey - 1/4 teaspoon Chaga mushroom (super immune booster) - 1/4 teaspoon Reishi mushroom (anti-viral king) - 1/4 teaspoon Tremella mushroom (improves lung health as it helps to keep them nice and moisturised, which makes it harder for the bad guys to cling to) - Hot water or coconut milk Increasing your immunity never tasted so good! I use Superfeast mushrooms. Mason is a Northern Beaches boy and was the first to introduce me to the fungi kingdom years ago. Check out his stuff! See more

06.01.2022 We can all feel it. There’s so much anxiety around at the moment. People are scared and nervous about what’s happening and what could happen, if things get worse. We’ve heard the stories and we’ve seen the videos of people acting completely out of character for basic items at the supermarket. They’ve acted this way because they’re afraid. Fear builds more fear. Laughing at people who are afraid only feeds that lower energy. Have compassion. Be kind. This is a time to come ...together. To help each other. Calm each other. Support each other. I believe this virus is a beautiful opportunity for us to grow. Let’s not forget how healing love is. If we all decide to share, look after and help each other in anyway we can, I know our sense of community and oneness will expand tenfold. We are all in this together. Don’t forget it. If you are feeling the collective anxiety at the moment however, get yourself out amongst the trees, the birds, the sunshine. Ground yourself. Breathe. We’ve got this. See more

06.01.2022 Warmth. Spices. Slow cookers. Hearty broths. Stewed fruit. Mulled wine The cooler months are a time to eat from the earth. Eat warm. Get those root veggies out and ground yourself in your body. The cooler months are a time to slow down. Be quieter. How good does it feel to whack on your trackies, pull up some massive socks and tuck them both into your Uggies? How nice is it to come home after a long day at work to your house smelling like heaven from a long, slow day of Cr...ock Potting? During the cooler months, our digestion cools down too. If we were out foraging in the middle of winter, we wouldn’t find a cold açai bowl waiting for us, would we? If we eat salads, smoothies and raw foods, which are all amazing in the warmer months, we literally cool our digestive fires too. This can lower our immunity and our body’s ability to fight away infection because it’s using all our energy to try and heat up our insides again. So, grab the slow cooker. Get our your old stew recipes. Don’t be afraid to eat your body weight in starchy carbohydrates over the winter. Root veggies, hearty meats and whole grains literally ground you and root you back in your body. They slow you down. Eating with the seasons is such a beautiful act of self love because we are working with nature. It brings us in tune with our surroundings and the flow of Mother Earth. Enjoy it See more

05.01.2022 Making your own natural cleaning products and toiletries is so easy. Not only is it fun to get creative, but you also ensure that your home and surfaces aren’t covered in harsh chemicals that can disrupt and affect your health. Did you know, our skin acts like our gut does, and homes billions of different types of bacteria? This bacteria is our first line of defence to any invading pathogen. The majority of store bought cleaning products, as an example, contain harsh antib...acterial and anti microbial ingredients which not only kill off the baddies, but they also kill of our good guys! So, chuck out the chemically ridden cheap stuff, and try creating your own. Essential oils are such a beautiful gift from nature, and are powerful when they come to destroying germs. All you need in a spray bottle is a few drops of some oils such as Eucalyptus, Sweet Orange, Lemon, Tea Tree, Clove or Oregano as examples, add some water and there you have it. Your skin is like a sponge. Don’t absorb toxins. See more

04.01.2022 Third eye this chakra is located in between your eyebrows, and is the home of intuition and foresight. Many of us don’t trust ourselves. We don’t trust how we feel, or our first thought regarding something. We question ourselves. In turn, this can cause headaches from constant overthinking or overanalysing, and can create imbalance in this chakra. Using tools such as reading a book to calm your mind, cooking a delicious meal to use the pent up energy to create, speaking t...o a loved one about something on your mind or writing out your feelings can be great ways to help unleash and unburden any sort of over-analysis of a situation. Another way you can gain support is by having beautiful, and powerful, friends around your home. Yes, this may sound woo woo to some, but having certain crystals and plants in your home can help to clear away anxieties and bring a sense of calm to an environment. Looking at a crystal, the beautiful patterns and markings, can transport you into another world. Touching a plant can help to ground your energy and soothe you, just like patting your dog or cat. Sounds kooky, right? But, crystals and plants are from nature, stopping our thoughts and clearing our mind from constant chatter. Living in the city greatly affects our natural rhythms too. How many of us go on getaways (before lockdown laws, anyway) to secluded cottages or down the south coast to the bush to escape the hustle and bustle, to stop for once and calm ourselves? While we are still in lockdown, add a little nature to your own home to help increase your vibration and your energy levels, and create your own little cottage or sanctuary See more

02.01.2022 Sacral chakra our sacral is located about three inches below our naval, and has the related element of water. It is the chakra system related to all things pleasure, self love, sensuality, emotion and physical expression. Our sacral is related to our reproductive and lymphatic systems. Many of us experience reproductive issues or concerns, such as painful periods, PCOS, infertility, endometriosis, and swollen legs and feet. This is an indication to me, that your sacral cha...kra could be out of balance. How many of you ladies, complain about your period? How many of you feel shame or even embarrassment? We have all been there. This time of the month is such a beautiful time worth celebrating, not demonising. It is a time where we literally shed old emotions, and renew. It is a time to nurture ourselves and really love ourselves up. Yes, we can whack a face mask on and post self love up on social media, but really switch off, to switch back in. Our periods are an amazing time of hibernation with self. Listen to what emotions arise. Listen to the pain and discomfort experienced. Learn. What is your body trying to tell you? When we experience PMS, listen to what feelings arise. If you’re irritated, why? How can you align with your needs more so? As well as listening, this is a magical time to really nurture and pamper. Warm baths in salt water and essential oils are an amazing way to energise you’re sacral chakra. Dance, sing, gently stretch or exercise, swim in the ocean. Do anything that will reenergise your inner fire See more

02.01.2022 It’s been a long while since I’ve posted anything and to be honest, I have felt absolutely energetically pooped as of late that I’ve found I haven’t even had the brain space to think of anything to say. So many people I am speaking to lately have said they’ve felt the same. The energy of this year has without a doubt hit the high adrenaline button for all of us, in some way or another. This morning as I was walking to work however, I decided one thing. It is so okay to want... to retreat for a while, to cope with the heaviness of the current energetic climate. But, at some point, we have to pop up and out again. This is my tiny way of doing it. Of showing up and saying hello again. So, don’t beat yourself up about not always doing. About not always should-ing. It’s okay to listen to your own rhythm and your own pace. It’s why we are here, after all. Today ask yourself, how am I honouring or not honouring my own unique energy? Listen. There’s no rush in life, so let’s enjoy the pace we choose to roll it out in. See more

01.01.2022 Would you eat a plate of perfume, formaldehyde, diethyl phthalate or butylated hydroxyanisole? I didn’t think so. My rule of thumb when it comes to skincare products, is if I wouldn’t swallow it, I’m not going to put it on my skin. Our skin is the biggest organ in the human body. It constantly stops harmful invaders from getting us, it holds more beneficial bacteria on top of it than our gut does, it detoxifies us and helps to create one of the most beneficial vitamins for ...our immunity, vitamin D. Choosing skin care with soothing jojoba oil, avocado oil, shea butter and aloe vera, naturally perfumed with rose, sandalwood and frankincense essential oils, as examples, are ingredients your skin knows how to absorb, and trusts. Since the dawn of time, we have used mother nature’s gifts. Why use chemicals and harsh detergents where it’s not necessary? I love, and have used for years, both local Australian brands, Juniper and Mukti. Their products use organic, 100% natural ingredients that aren’t tested on our furry friends. Using natural products for my skin is just another way I thank my body for all the work she does for me on a day to day basis. I’ve even lashed out and bought a jade roller and microdermabrasion kit, and let me tell you, my skin glows the morning after! So, after you finish up your unnecessarily expensive, plastic filled skincare products, give the natural brands a go. Your skin will detoxify the nasties, and thank you for it See more
