17.01.2022 Hi Everyone Another carnival notification! Everything will be back to normal next week once the carnival is over. Our carnival this weekend is HUGE. There are 277 swimmers which is the most swimmers at any carnival in the CQ region this season. We have 114 of our own Emerald Seals swimmers competing which is 75% of our club. As a club everyone should be very proud and excited for the weekend! It is of course impossible to run a meet of this size without help from club member...s and this is a call out for help in a few areas and with time keeping. We need: 1. Men to help to at 8am on Friday morning with setting up tents and putting backstroke boards in the pool. 2. Two or three people to help at the gate and sell raffle tickets. This is from 6.15am until approx 8.30am on Saturday morning. If you are able to help in these areas please comment with your name and where you can help. TIME KEEPING For those that are new to carnivals time keeping is part of being a parent of swimmers! To cover the Emerald time keeping lanes we need 12 people per hour. It would be a great help in organising if you could comment with your name and which time slot you will do please. It is perfectly acceptable to do more than one :) The times are as follows: 8am 9am 9am -10am 10am 11am 11am 12pm 12pm 1pm 1pm 2pm 2pm 3pm The program will be up on the CQ Swimming website and a link posted to Emerald Seals & CQ Swimming FB pages tomorrow evening. There will be no hard copies for sale so make sure you print or download a copy. And lastly if there is anyone still wanting to put in a nomination please contact Amanda by 10am tomorrow See more
