22.01.2022 **This Emergency Alert has been cancelled.** EMERGENCY ALERT issued for SAPPHIRE as at 4.44am Wed 17 Mar: An Emergency Alert has been issued by Central Highlan...ds Regional Council (CHRC) for residents in Sapphire. Due to heavy rainfall, the Retreat Creek is rising rapidly and major flooding is expected. Properties in low-lying areas are likely to be impacted. Council advises residents to warn neighbours, secure belongings and move to higher ground now. For more information, visit www.beprepared.chrc.qld.gov.au. For life-threatening situations, call Triple Zero (000). For flood assistance, contact the State Emergency Service (SES) on 132 500.

16.01.2022 Operation Rudolph 2020... finally we can get EXCITED!!!! The Emerald Operation Rudolph committee is thrilled to announce that Santa, his elves, and the... Emerald emergency services WILL be travelling the Emerald streets again on Christmas Eve this year! Further to this, the much loved lolly toss WILL also be going ahead! Operation Rudolph will be operating as a food delivery service in 2020 in order to comply with COVID restrictions. Please follow along on this page for COVID event updates/impacts, our annual colouring competition, the parade route maps and event times!

09.01.2022 OPERATION RUDOLPH PARADE ROUTES FOR 2020!! These routes may look familiar.. and they should! Due to the late notice this year, we are trying to keep things sim...ple. As such, we will be running the same parade routes on the same schedule as 2019. SOUTH SIDE parade will be departing at 1730. NORTH SIDE parade will be departing at 1800. Unfortunately we are not able to advise specific time estimates of when the parade will be travelling along particular streets, however our live parade updates will be running again this year to assist you in following us along. Finally we are aware these maps are not ultra clear.. SORRY, we can't help Facebook quality. We look forward to seeing you all on December 24th!
