25.01.2022 The EFNC would like to pass on our deepest condolences to the Bishop family on the passing of their son and brother, Jono. Larger than life, a great team mate and a true gentlemen are just some of the things that come to mind when you think of Jono. We will all miss his smile, laughter and friendship. R.I.P Mate #29

25.01.2022 Dear Player and Members, It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the cancellation of Senior Football for the 2020 Season. It has been a rollercoaster of emotion over the past 3 months with the constant changing landscape of whether we’d play or not and to get the news from AFL Outer East has left us all a bit flat. Due to the recent rise in Covid cases and the change to potential crowd numbers plus protocols, it has simply become not viable to continue. I personall...y want to thank the Committee, Coaches, Supporters and especially Players who have been fantastic through this difficult time. The Emerald Football Netball Club has been through some incredibly tough times and we have always come together, supported each other and come out stronger. This will be no different and I can say that with confidence knowing the quality of people we have at our club. To our Senior men, I could not be more proud of the way you’ve conducted yourselves. Any hurdle we’ve thrown at you from a training point of view you’ve handled with the upmost of professionalism and we had that quiet confidence of having a fair crack this year. Bottle that enthusiasm for what will be a mega 2021! I also wanted to pass on our thanks to Aaron, Cameron and everyone at AFL Outer East. Their leadership, communication and drive to get senior football up this year is nothing short of first class and I know with them at the helm our competition can only grow in the years to come. All however is not lost, as our U/18 Football Team, Junior and Senior Netball Teams are likely to kick off on the 25th July and 1st of August respectively. Let’s make sure we get around them and help in getting the success they deserve. GO BOMBERS! Mark Pedder President EFNC

24.01.2022 Finalising our netball appointments we can confirm that we are pleased to announce that Amanda PAULL will continue again in 2021 as our Netball C & D Grade Coach. Amanda has been an integral part of the netball club for many years but one of the main reasons the club is on the improve and becoming very competitive very quickly. She will be be a great support to Kim and the A & B Grade sides. Amanda’s commitment to the club has been second to none and the fact that she’s again taking on the role with baby #2 due in 2021 is testament to her love and passion for the Emerald Netball Club. Thanks again Amanda and we look forward to seeing what you and the girls can achieve in 2021.

21.01.2022 Emerald FNC is looking for a head trainer for the 2021 season! We are a progressive club with great facilities and a Fantastic culture. 15.01.2022 Our 2021 Development and U19 Coaches are now Locked away! Jarrad Donders will again take our unders for the 2021 season! Roo has been a popular and well received coach for our previous U18 teams over the past couple of years ans has done an outstanding job. Along with that he is also one of the clubs very respected senior players. His commitment to our up and coming talent has been outstanding and we congratulate and look forward to Jarrad developing these boys again next ...in readiness for senior football. Rob Morris came to us last year as the Development Assistant Coach and with the development coaching position up for grabs in 2021 we can now congratulate Rob on his appointment. Rob has fitted in perfectly and it is a bonus that his knowledge of the boys and game style can continue on into next season. Congratulations to both Rob and Jarrad.

15.01.2022 WE’RE BACK!!! Training re commences next week Tuesday 2nd June for our senior Footballers and Netballers!! Our U15 junior netball will return on Tuesday 16th June.... Attached is the guidelines the club has in place and will ensure the health & well being is of the utmost priority. We recommend and ask that everyone involved download the COVID 19 App There are more guidelines and requirements with AFL Vic, AFL Outer East and local/federal governments which we have also put in place and all players and officials will be briefed prior to the commencement of training. 06.01.2022 Hello All, This was the news we were all dreading but probably also expecting after the latest lockdowns. So disappointing for so many people, but in the end out of our hands. To the U/18's - great job. You were training the house down and we were all really excited about what you'd bring this year. One positive is, it appears U/19's is the way the leagues headed for 2021 so this group gets another crack at a season. To our Netballers - the excitement you have bought to t...he club this year and the air of expectation around what this group could do, in all grades was so refreshing. Like we have said to the Senior Footballers I hope we can bottle that enthusiasm for what should be a mega 2021 season. Once the dust settles and we come through this latest lockdown stay tuned for some potential club get togethers and some possible extra curricular activities to keep us all together and to basically have some fun. To all the coaches, committee members and general helpers, please accept our thanks and appreciation for all that you've done.
