25.01.2022 Black Rice & Roasted Winter Vegetable Rolls, in a flaky olive oil puff pastry, a peek at a special menu I’ll be baking in Melbourne next monthI’ll be joining P...ippa & Michael James Tivoli Road Bakery for a Winter Warmer in #Melbourne on Saturday July 7th, 8am until sold out, baking a special menu of #vegan #greeneating & #vegetablegarden recipes to raise money for Emerald Hill Mission www.emeraldhillmission.org.au (my sister Jenny is on the team there) who raise money to help families with school books and tuition for children growing up in challenging circumstances. So on this special menu I'm putting together 100% of the menu’s profits going directly to the charity, with only ingredients costs taken out. Green & growing is the theme, as dazzling as an emerald and drawing inspiration from nature. My menu will focus on baking with fresh vegetables, herbs and oils in recipes that give you a double-serve of vibrant flavour and warmth this winter. The pastry here is tweaked a bit from my recipe for The Guardian from 2011 and taken to a whole new level. I’ll be posting pics every few days from the menu for the day. See more
