24.01.2022 We are very sorry to share that the Emerald Op Shop will be closed until further notice after this Saturday 21st of March. We are concerned about our wonderful volunteers and customers who may be vulnerable to infection at this time and we want to encourage health and safety in our community. We are looking forward to when we can re-open again (hopefully soon!) and listening for any ideas about ways to continue to serve the Emerald community during this time. Stay in touch!
23.01.2022 We value your donations but we have to spend a lot of money disposing of unsalable items. Money that cant then be given to the SES, CFA and other local charities. Unsalable clothes can go to the Mission Bins outside our shop but everything else goes to landfill. Please read and think before you donate to us. 22.01.2022 Hello! We had a tub of cassette tapes donated to our opp shop at St Marks emerald and at the bottom of the tub was someones family videos and photographs. Concerned that the person who donated the tub didnt know they were at the bottom. If theyre yours please message us or phone. Obviously well have to ask a few questions to make sure Im not giving away someone elses memories. Feel free to share please

08.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we let you know of the passing of our volunteer and friend Annette Campbell. The funeral is on 23rd March (see photo). The family has requested no flowers.... 07.01.2022 We are pleased to have been able to donate $1000 to St. Lukes Cockatoo Foodbank who are doing great work supporting those in our community in need at this difficult time. (They are open Monday 10-2, but please call first as they are doing social distancing. People need to ring St. Lukes 59688459 any time and leave a message. They will return all calls and take an order which can be collected from the church on Mondays. They have plenty of food to share and recognize that many people are doing it tough at the moment.) Thank you for your ongoing support. Your purchases directly help support our community.

06.01.2022 We would like our members and community to know that, with sadness, we have decided to cancel or close down all our public gatherings and services at St. Marks... from this week until further notice. As of 18th of March we will not hold any public worship services, including Sunday services, or any of our other programs or public groups. The Emerald Op Shop will also be closing for a season with the last shopping day being Saturday 21st. We believe that this is an important step for us in helping to protect those in our community who are at risk from the ongoing coronavirus situation.
