22.01.2022 A good news story. Last night after reading a Facebook post 2 Emerald Members started to Look for a missing person after Calling Belgrave Police for further information. Another Emerald member was following the search on Facbook and a member of the public had posted a possible sighting and the Emerald SES member moved to that area. After approximately an hour and our second trip down that road our Vehicle moved over on a narrow road to let a car go past and our Member at... the time looked out of his window up the embankment and spotted Stephen. Our Members reassuring Stephen everything is ok and thet we are here to help. The car coming in the other direction has his family and his daughter in it. Called 000 for ambulance and a great outcome. A great outcome given todays Hot Weather.

19.01.2022 It is with great sadness that the Toolangi Fire Brigade today lost their eldest member of the brigade, Robert (Bob) Pockett. Bob was in his 99th year of life, which is a pretty extraordinary effort; and for those that knew Bob, his intellect was active until the very end. Bob first joined CFA as a volunteer with Healesville brigade on 25 March 1942. His legacy will live on through those that knew him, the strawberry runner scheme, through the incredible contribution to the f...ire brigade and the many books he wrote on the history of the local areas, organisations and features. Our sincere condolences go out to Bobs family and friends, and those that knew him through his distinguished career. Losing a member of the brigade, is like losing a family member; and losing a founding member is truly closing of a chapter of the brigades history. #WeWorkAsOne
