17.01.2022 Week 2 of our celebration month of themed choir nights this Wednesday at 6.30pm at the Build Church in Nairne. So what is our theme this coming Wednesday? Staying in line with merging different art forms, putting ourselves in to the community, and inspired by a supper room conversation, this Wednesday I'd love to have a knitting/crochet and sing night. I learned from choir members that charity organisations are always looking for knitted or crocheted squares to make blanket...s for those who need it. I envision us sitting around together and enjoying our singing while creating squares for others. Fueled by our song and our loving intent, it will make for a beautiful night to warm our hearts and help others keep warm this winter. Don't know how to knit or crochet a square? No problems! Come along to sing and add your voice to the process. Can't come but want to contribute? 17.01.2022 Time to celebrate! Our Nairne singing group has permanently moved to use the incredibly beautiful Build Church in Nairne. Same time and day (Wednesdays 6-30-8.30) and same car park. It is the historic church building on the other side of the car park. This really is cause for celebration because the resonance of the room lets us really hear ourselves creating beautiful music, and it means we are a part of Nairne history singing in the original school of the area! So to ce...lebrate I want to get creative. Every week we will have a special themed night for the next month, culminating in a HUGE Community Warming Party at the end. This coming Wednesday will be completely member's choice songs, and going from there we will have many different and interesting ways to use our voices and art to connect with our community. 08.01.2022 Every song tells a story. Come along this Wednesday night to be a part of our unique choose your own adventure story through music. The first in a series of themed and creative celebration nights!

07.01.2022 Choose Your Own Adventure song night; the first week in some creatively themed choir sessions had a very special TWIST. The clue "every song has it's own story" will become a reality for our little group. Your very devoted conductor is also a bit of a writer, so from songs chosen tonight I will be writing a little children's book. With the backwards approach to having a sound track to write a story around, this will be an amazing little piece of our singing group we can share with the community. Copies will be distributed around Nairne and surrounding areas for people who are interested in this merging of children's writing and adult community choir. Stay tuned for updates on the project! What will we have in store for our themed week next Wednesday?
