04.01.2022 Weightlifting as a female There is a lot of females out there who don’t typically understand what physically/ mentally happens to your body when you start lifting weights. I have spoken to a lot of females about this topic and they all seem to think the same thing if I lift weights, I am going to get big muscles and I don’t want that. My response is always the same You will not become absolutely jacked and have big muscles if you lift weights then I go onto ex...plaining them what happens.To put it simply if you lift weights and start to produce more muscle mass (size) and reduce the amount of body fat, you will notice your body start to tighten up and become firmer then it was before. Now I know there is a lot more to it but that is just what simply happens.
