25.01.2022 It's just hair - I was a part of your wedding. It's just hair - I was your child's first haircut. It's just hair - I was there for your first date.... It's just hair - I was there for their funeral. It's just hair- I was there for your graduation. It's just hair- I was there when you didn't like the way you looked. It's just hair- when you got offered your dream job and nobody else knew but me and you! It's just hair- when you met the person of your dreams and they told you they loved you for the very first time! It's just hair- when all you wanted in the whole world is a hug from your hair stylist because you knew they'd give it to you with open arms! It's just hair- when you lost your job and didn't know what you were going to do. It's just hair- when you were getting a divorce and just needed to feel better about yourself. It's just hair- when you had a terrible day and looked forward to being able to vent without being judged. It's just hair- when you are about to go on vacation and can't wait to tell me all about it on your next visit. It's just hair - when you were expecting your first child. And I was a safe person to be able to tell. It's not "just hair" Never has been and never will be! TO OUR HAIRY FRIENDS please copy, paste and share Love this! Thank you for the inspo Geoffrey Herberg

22.01.2022 As most of you know I have shoulder issues for years. So now it’s time for surgery, my surgery will be Friday 29th May so from 6pm Thursday 28th May there will be no more appointments until further notice but I will still be selling hair products, for you needs if you wish to purchase them still. As I don’t know how long it will take to heal (I will need 4-6months rehab) Thank you for your understanding Tash

21.01.2022 Ok so I am 4+ weeks post op. Everything is travelling along really well. I go to physio once a week and the physio is very happy with my progress. I still have 2-3 more weeks where I can’t lift, pull or push with that arm. I have 5 of the small incisions around my shoulder and the one larger one under my armpit, again all healing well. I am out of my sling and able to walk ( even castle hill ps I am so unfit) Will Keep you all posted on my progress

10.01.2022 Hi Everyone As you May have heard I am back doing ONLY 3 clients per week (1 a day) I am excited to be back. However I am now fully booked until September I don’t want to book any further as that is my next review with the surgeon and I am hoping I will then be able to do more clients. Also just to confirm I have canceled Everyone previous appointments for the year (except for Graduation) so once I start working more I will be able to rebook you all for the rest of the year. 03.01.2022 This so very true and my clients become like family Written by Stephanie Caron I am JUST a Hairstylist. ... I lay in my bed writing this at 1:17am EST. So get ready peeps because it’s a long one. I took this picture around 11:15pm, after my last client left for the day. When I woke up, I thought it was going to be ‘just another day’ but that was hardly the truth. I woke up completed my normal getting ready routine. You know - hair, makeup, etc. etc. I get to work, get about halfway through my clients and get a message on my phone from a long time client. Hey Steffie, I know I haven’t been in, in a while, I know this is so last minute and I’m sorry but do you have any openings, my husband suddenly passed and his funeral is Friday. Of coarse I stayed late and took care of her and her hair. That’s what SHE needed. YES, I was tired. YES, I was hungry. If you couldn’t tell by my face already. But suddenly, what I needed didn’t really matter at the moment. What did she need, how did she want her hair. What else could I do for her during this extremely difficult time. People are always so quick to judge and say what’s the big deal, you are just a hair stylist, you play with hair all day. But the truth is I am so much more than that. I am a hair stylist. BUT, I am also, a a friend, a shoulder to cry on, an open ear to listen, an advice column, your personal cheerleader and even a chemist. When I signed up for hair school, I didn’t know what to expect, other than to learn how to do hair. They don’t tell you, that you are going to be all of those other job titles when you stand behind that chair. They don’t tell you that you will feel what your clients feel when you stand behind that chair. Hair school teaches you about proms, graduations, weddings and baby showers. They don’t tell you that you will also be working on guests who are going through hard times like dealing with anxiety/ depression, divorce, death of a loved on caused by miscarriage or even suicide. The Beauty Industry is one of the most intense career paths emotionally (and physically but I won’t even touch on that. ) It is one of the most rewarding and yet one of the most difficult careers, but somehow the universe always find a way to keep it balanced. Because no matter what my guests are going through, wether it be rainbows and gum drops or digging through the trenches , I have the ability to give them the confidence boost they need to get through that next event, whatever it may be. I love my career and I know in my soul that this is my purpose in life. I love all my guests and I love hard, so I feel what they are feeling. And now I have to go soak my shirt because I got color on it. #lifeofahairstylist #lifeofanempath

02.01.2022 Ok for everyone following along at home, I had shoulder surgery last Friday. I am 6 days post op feeling good, have started going for walks at least once a day. Pain is good have not needed anything more then Panadol and the ice machine thing hitch is amazing. Seeing the physio tomorrow so fingers crossed that goes well. I will keep you all updated.
