25.01.2022 Winter Warmer Pear Crumble! ~ ~ This one will be sure to hit your taste buds and warm that tummy on these cold winter days. ~... ~ Ingredients: 1 Medium Pear 20ml Sugar Free Maple Syrup 40g Oats 1 tsp Cinnamon 50g Strawberries 50g Blueberries 15g Protein Powder Method 1. Heat oven to 180 degrees fan forced 2. Dice pear into 1cm prices 3. Mix half of the maple syrup and cinnamon with the pear and stir together 4. In a seperate bowl, mix the rest of the maple syrup and cinnamon with the oats 5. Place oat mixture on top of the pear pieces and place into the oven and bake for 20min or until pear is soft 6. Serve in a bowl crumbled and top it with berries and protein powder (mix protein powder with a little water to make a sauce) 7. Enjoy! 21.01.2022 When breakfast looks this good... ~ ~ Delicious French Toast ~... ~ I’m putting this recipe up now, so you have time to get to the shops and grab your ingredients for tomorrow mornings breakfast! ~ ~ Ingredients: 2 Slices Bread 2 Eggs 10g Protein Powder (I used vanilla) 1/2 Banana (roughly 70g) 50g Blueberries 10g Nutlex 10ml SF Maple Syrup Method 1 Mix the egg in a bowl with the protein powder 2 Soak the bread in the egg mixture 3 Heat 5g Nutlex in a non-stick frypan and add the soaked bread to the pan and cook until browned or until egg is cooked 4 In the same pan add the banana and cook until browned 5 Add French Toast to a plate, too it with your cooked banana, blueberries and maple syrup. 6 Serve and Enjoy!! 511 Calories C: 53.5g P: 24.3g F: 21g ~ ~ Have half the serve and add more berries and some low fat, high protein yoghurt, for a lower calorie option. ~ ~ Breakfast in bed tomorrow morning is now sorted! ~ ~ Tag a friends that’s needs this ~ ~ Don’t put a NO on those foods you love, enjoy those foods you love in moderation! 19.01.2022 You said you would start Monday!! ~ ~ It’s now Tuesday... ~... ~ We all have this mentality that everything new, a new diet or new training plan, needs to start on a Monday. ~ ~ Why is that when majority of us find it hard to get motivated on a Monday? ~ ~ How many times have you told yourself I’ll start Monday? ~ ~ How many times have you actually made that commitment when Monday comes along? ~ ~ Don’t set yourself up to fail, start straight away, regardless of the day! START NOW!! ~ ~ I made a story a few weeks ago asking you if you found it hard to get motivated on a Monday, so I thought I would give you guys my top tips on how to get motivated and set yourself up for success on those days you find hard to get going... especially Monday! ~ ~ Go to bed early each night and get at least 8 hours of sleep Get organised, sit down on Sunday and plan your weekly routine Start the day with something you love, going for a walk, a gym session, meditating. 19.01.2022 Are you a gym goer? ~ ~ Have you ever done some type of fitness testing to measure your overall fitness ability and/or strength? ~... ~ Last week we jumped into 3rm barbell back squat testing, with the @wellness_warriors_ girls. The results were amazing! The girls were lifting up to 80kg in their barbell back squat and they were all surprised on how much they could actually lift. ~ ~ Why should you incorporate testing in your fitness programming at least a few times a year? ~ ~ Think about it, do you sometimes go into the gym and not know how much you should lift or you pick the lighter weights because you have underestimated your power and strength? ~ ~ Testing can help this, it creates a benchmark and allows us to program workouts that are tailored to your ability, power and overall strength, it will also give you the drive to keep pushing yourself to the next level! ~ ~ Do you want to maximise your strength capabilities in the gym? 19.01.2022 DO CALORIES COUNT??? ~ ~ Whether you’re an athlete or new to fitness and nutrition, your answer to my question should be ‘HECK YES - Calories do count’ ~... ~ Why? ~ ~ Because you want RESULTS!! ~ ~ Whether your goal is fat loss, weight gain or maintenance, your results will all be determined by energy balance - input V’s output - input meaning the calories you consume and output meaning the calories you burn ~ ~ If input is less then output then you are in a calorie deficit = fat loss If input equals output then you are maintaining = Maintenance if input exceeds output then you are in a calorie surplus = Weight gain ~ ~ So depending on your overall goal, if your not seeing results and your only focusing on exercising and wondering where you are going wrong, simply ask yourself ‘am I consuming the right amount of calories for my goal’? ~ ~ It doesn’t need to be complicated! ~ ~ If at the start of this, you thought that ‘Calories didn’t count’, what are your thoughts now? ~ ~ @em_fitcoach_ #ipreview via @preview.app See more

17.01.2022 Have you ever started a diet and found that it was not sustainable or you’ve come to the end, saw results but you never really learnt anything and you’re asking yourself this very question... ~ ~ WHAT THE HECK DO I DO NOW ~... ~ This is absolutely a fair question to be asking yourself! ~ ~ My number one advice to you, DO NOT GIVE UP! ~ ~ You have come this far and whether your goal is to lose weight, gain weight or improve your overall fitness, the last thing you want to do is go backwards and lose all that hard work and progress you have made so far. ~ ~ Here are my tips to help you stay in control and keep moving forward with your fitness and nutrition goals: Make a plan, set short and long term goals, write these down somewhere you can always refer back to them. Remember why you started this journey Be mindful and don’t be too hard on yourself when you have set backs, it’s life and you can always start fresh with your next meal or training session Continue to track what you are eating for at least a few weeks, this will help you slowdown and pay attention to what you are putting in your body, also you can then understand or make changes in your eating or training, if you do notice a little change in your weight. Eat at least 30g of protein at each main meal Get your beauty sleep, 7-9 hours, not enough sleep can increase hunger. 09.01.2022 Do you find yourself daily telling yourself you can’t eat a certain type of food or a food group because it’s labelled as ‘BAD’, ‘UNHEALTHY’ or ‘NAUGHTY’? ~ ~ Why do we place such a label on food or food groups? Is it because someone told us it was bad, unhealthy or naughty? ~... ~ The main issue that labelling food can have on us is that it affects the way we feel, it gets us in a mind frame that when we do eat those so called ‘bad’ foods, we tend to place guilt upon ourselves when we do eat them, cravings kick in and most of the time we end up overeating it and then regret it and then feel horrible and feel like we have failed. ~ ~ Let me ask you this and answer this truthfully without any influence, how do you value your food and the food choices you make? ~ ~ Would you tell me about how many calories are in the food, tell me about the nutrient value or simply how it tastes?
