25.01.2022 What day is it again? I hope you’re all getting some good R&R!

24.01.2022 Ok people, it’s the 5th of January. Has anyone achieved their New Years goals yet? No just kidding. Have you set yourself a New Years goal yet? I have quite a lot I want to achieve with my business this year but apparently I’m not very good at coming up with personal goals. Perhaps a sign that prioritising fun, non-work should be one of my goals? I can’t help it, I just love hair!

24.01.2022 To celebrate International Women’s Day I’ve decided to flip the traditional domestic work ratio on its head. Sorry Nick, no cooking or cleaning for me! It’s all you babes. No, I’m kidding. I hate cooking, I already never cook. . On a more serious note, I’m so grateful to work with amazing women every day - I feel really lucky to have the job that I do. Happy International Women’s Day! Who run the world?

20.01.2022 A little contemporary romance for this gorgeous human. Do you know someone that would love this style? . To create this diagonal bun, we started with some soft crown texture using a smoothing cream, then popped in a loose ponytail as our bun base. I then flipped the ponytail inside-out horizontally, added a little bit of padding, then worked the hair into this contemporary bun shape. . PS: How pretty is my client Jaclyn's veil + accessory combo?!

16.01.2022 A very merry Christmas to you and you and you! . I'm not sure about you guys, but I really struggled to get into the Christmas spirit this year. For a lot of us it's a Christmas with an absence of loved ones, and my heart goes out to you. . This year I'm grateful for the gift of good health, for the unconditional love and support of my family and friends, and for all my amazing brides who rode out this crazy year with me - we did it, woohoo!... . I'm going to have a red hot go at some TLC this week. I'm amazingly bad at taking the time to relax and do the things I enjoy, so that sounds like a perfect Christmas gift to me! . 15.01.2022 Merry Christmas Eve folks! Wishing you a good, solid dose of R&R these holidays xx . This textured diagonal bun was a fun style we pulled together for the beautiful Jessica's tea ceremony. We wanted something polished and classic, but not too traditional-looking. What do you think?

14.01.2022 I loved creating this airy, romantic look for the gorgeous Charlene. . To create this style, start by sectioning off a few inches around the entire hairline, then turning the middle section into a ponytail. . Curl the pony and pop a bit of padding around the outside. Next use the pony to create the base for the bun.... . Once the base is created, it’s just a matter of curling the remaining hair, draping it to the bun and arranging into place with bobby pins. Make sure to leave some pieces loose for softness. . Voila! Airy romance hair dreams. See more

13.01.2022 Well, we did it! 2020 is done and dusted. Looking back I actually achieved quite a lot. I met some amazing people in the wedding industry, many of whom I now call friends. My business survived bushfires, a hailstorm, broken air conditioning, a new, very loud office mate (sorry Nick, that’s you) and of course a pandemic that all but outlawed the wedding industry. I met so many beautiful brides. I feel very special to have been a part of their support networks during a time th...at was lined with guilt around even having a wedding. I got married myself! Nick and I got to share a very special day with a tiny handful of our nearest and dearest. During the downtime I was able to properly work on some business ideas that I’m super excited about - I can’t wait. Happy New Year everyone! . 09.01.2022 My favourite bun cocktail - a little bit textured, a little undone, and a little bit special. . I loved creating this effortless knot-looking bun of the gorgeous Tanya today. Her hair is super fine so we gave her roots a bit of a lift and popped a sneaky bit of padding inside the bun. Voila! Luscious hair galore.

05.01.2022 I love how whimsical this upstyle is that we created for the lovely Jemima. Soft and textured but still a little bit fun. What do you think? . To create this style I started by sectioning in a rainbow shape across the back of the head, ear-to-ear. I popped the whole bottoms section into a ponytail then roughly curled it. I then curled the top of the hair alternating directions, leaving out a small section to braid on one side. I then gently pinned the crown area in place and popped my braid in. Next I secured the sides leaving out some pieces to frame the face, then created the bun with two sections wrapped in opposite directions.
