25.01.2022 Department of Home Affairs - COVID-19 and the border Updates to Australia's immigration and border arrangements during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. https://covid19.homeaffairs.gov.au/ Visa Holders: ... Staying in Australia You must apply for a new visa before your current visa expires. You might be granted a bridging visa that will keep you lawful until a decision is made on your visa application. No further stay condition (includes 8503, 8534 and 8535) This means you can't apply for most other visas until you leave Australia. If your visa has less than 2 months validity remaining you can request to waive this condition. We will advise you of the outcome of your request. If your request is approved, you can make a new visa application. Condition 8558 (Non-resident cannot stay for more than 12 months in any 18 months period) You will need to apply for a new visa that suits your new needs. Explore your visa options. If your visa has expired, you need to apply for Bridging E visa (BVE) immediately in order to become lawful. A BVE keeps you lawful while you make arrangements to leave or finalise your immigration matter.

19.01.2022 First of all, BIG thanks to everyone who has supported us over these past few weeks. It means the world to know you've got our backs during what's been an incr...edibly difficult time for everyone in the community. We are all trying to get our heads around this new 'normality' while coping with uncertainty, isolation, and sadness. Here at the ASRC there has been heightened anxiety and fear among our members, for whom there is NO safety net. Every day, our Community Food team hears the questions, 'Will you be open tomorrow? Will there be food for my family next week?' With your support, we know we can say YES. 'Yes, we'll be there. Yes, there will be food for your family. Yes, we'll get through this, and we will help you to as well.' Please keep your donations coming in. We need food to keep going. We have tweaked our list of most-needed food items to reflect stock levels. Please help if you can To make a contactless food donation, come to the rear of the ASRC building, which is opposite 46 Albert St Footscray. Press the buzzer to the right of the roller door, and it will be opened remotely by reception (please note we are very low on volunteers and staff at the moment, so please be patient). You can drive right into the garage if need be, and leave your donations on the table. Please don't forget to fill in the tally sheet, so we know who to send a thank-you note to when the world returns to normal. Thank you so much!
