22.01.2022 The beach A wonderful canvas

21.01.2022 Rescued from rotting away in a shed this wind surfing board standing at 8foot (nearly 2.5m) provided a long and large canvas. I was inspired / not inspired by a large art installation on our town foreshore, and found something I liked in a child’s colouring book. I also find it interesting that when drawing animals, there is a ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ way of facing - I originally sketched the seahorse facing to the right - but found it unbalanced. *Open photo to see the whole piece

18.01.2022 Destined for the bin - this beautiful ceramic stand fortunately is hollow underneath so I could tape up the inside for support and fill the hole from the outside. I roughly colour matched the glazing and then hand drew the pattern to complete the design. A quick coat of clear spray and the pot is complete again.

12.01.2022 Little things can make a big difference. The legs were loose and it had no knob - a quick coat of paint, a little bit of art and a brass handle and it’s a new piece of furniture again

03.01.2022 A little bit of Art by a friend of mine. Jane is so clever, her work just amazes me with her style and patience for detail. This is a river stone doorstopper about 8inches high and very heavy.

03.01.2022 Following my heart Very liberating - the thoughts I have whilst drawing. To think that there are people who ‘hate’ what I do, that the correct medium for art is only on paper - that what I do is defacing things and it’s truly disgraceful. I am putting those thoughts behind me.
