23.01.2022 This is my head ^^ and this is a little bit about one of my favourite skin products and one of my favourite treatments that we offer at @aboutfaceclinic. Im about that ANTI-AGEING, and I believe thats prevention is better than a cure! One of my favourite @ultraceuticals products is Vitamin C Serum. This lightweight serum plumps, firms and tightens skin, reduces fine lines, fades pigmentation and brightens skin for an overall glow!... Anti-wrinkle injections are my #1 favourite in clinic treatment. I have them done every 3 months to say goodbye to my frown lines, forehead lines and crows feet, and having these treatments now means Im preventing wrinkles from being as severe in the future. Lip and face fillers do not spread over your face over time. There is a small risk of filler migration around the time of injection, however once the fillers have settled into an area, they will not migrate over time. . If I don’t get my lips refilled will they sag? Your skin and lips have an amazing ability to stretch and recoil, so as your lip fillers dissolve, your lips will not become saggy, they will return to their normal state. . Is it true that fillers don’t dissolve, they actually just spread into the face? Fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a molecule that is found naturally in our skin. As our body breaks down our natural hyaluronic acid, it also breaks down the filler hyaluronic acid. Some fillers last longer than others, depending on the filler and the person. . Can anti-wrinkle make your face feel heavy? Anti-wrinkle injections can make you feel heavy, this is because they relax the muscles in the face. This is most commonly found when treating the forehead, because this is the only muscle responsible for holding up your eyebrows. Due to varying anatomy, a small amount of people will always feel somewhat heavy after having their forehead treated, however trying a smaller dose in the forehead could alleviate that feeling. . 12.01.2022 S W E L L I N G after having fat dissolving injections. One of the most common questions I get asked is "how much swelling will I have?" or "how long will the swelling last?"... short answer: Shrek-level swelling, for a good few weeks Lets start with the POSITIVES fat dissolving injections are permanent, so even though the swelling and discomfort can be quite intense, its 100% worth it!... Everyones recovery will vary, but heres a rough guide on what to expect with your lipo-dissolve treatment: TREATMENT 20 quick jabs that are loaded with local anaesthetic to numb you. Minor discomfort, hurts less than anti-wrinkle injections, takes a few minutes to administer. IMMEDIATELY AFTER Swelling begins straight away, and some discomfort begins as soon as your local anaesthetic wears off. Youll be in the most discomfort that night, go straight home, do not pass GO. 1-3 DAYS AFTER Hellooo Fat Bastard, initiate hibernation mode. Try to avoid work, exercise and social gatherings. 1-2 WEEKS AFTER Still noticeably swollen, however not heinous and unable to go out in public. Avoid really important events like weddings (especially if its your own!) for at least 3 weeks after having fat dissolving injections. 3-5 WEEKS AFTER Minimally swollen, its likely no-one else will notice except for you, maybe your bestie or your mum. 6-8 WEEK AFTER Finally you can start to see a reduction in that double chin and itll all be worth it! Ready for another session? You can re-treat from now. FYI: most people have 1-3 treatments to get desired results.
