25.01.2022 And some more fish from the same firing. These are quite big.

23.01.2022 Beautiful rain to heal the farm, nature is restoring the balance.

22.01.2022 Happy as a clam, farm work all morning in lush green paddocks, then planting out the burned rainforest. Parents coming over for a socially distanced lunch for the first time in many weeks.... And now about to prepare clay to throw some teapots. And the insurance builders have repaired the house beautifully. It's good to notice the sweet times.

22.01.2022 My little companion

22.01.2022 Working away in the studio, listening to podcasts and enjoying the sunshiny warmth. Bliss.

21.01.2022 A closer look at some of the lustre surfaces from my firing yesterday. Like people, they take time to get to see their depth. @ Verona, New South Wales, Australia

18.01.2022 https://youtu.be/F2uuv5ZQxz0 This explains what I do when I make lustre pots. Mine are differ from this, as I use layers of glaze. Each glaze includes copper and rea; silver, and each layer is fired to a different temperature,. I end up doing up to five firings per pot.

15.01.2022 The new year's eve bushfire rolled through our farm, my studio and our house survived against the odds. My poor husband lost his welding workshop. A big clean up today, wild winds have dropped ash everywhere. Not a good look when you work in white clay! Tomorrow I will sit at the wheel again, a new start after this terrible time.

13.01.2022 Decorating Christmas themed pots, they will be much brighter when fired. It's been a fun commission.

08.01.2022 These special Quaama mugs will be on sale at the Quaama General store with ALL funds raised going to the Quaama recovery centre.

06.01.2022 Working on the last kiln load before Xmas with my old 80s cassettes blaring away so I'm in a total time warp. Last chance for any pre Xmas orders, just message me.

05.01.2022 Does everyone know about this page yet?

04.01.2022 The latest results from the lustre kiln. These ones a bit different as a bat blocked one of the burners!
