In 2020, try ADD a healthy habit to your routine. ... . THINGS TO TRY: 1 Add 1 extra serve of veg to lunch/dinner 2 Only wear clothes YOU like and make YOU feel COMFORTABLE 3 Learn to cook 1 new recipe a month. Great places to find delicious and healthy recipes - Heart Foundation recipes page, Jamie Oliver's healthy meals, Eat for Health recipes. 4Have ONE more home-made meal a week instead of eating out/ordering takeaway 5 Join a walking/dancing/swimming group, invite a friend to go for a walk, take part in a weekly ParkRun, ride a bike to work (if this is practical to do), take the stairs 6 Call friends and family more regularly. They love you and want to know how you are 7 Volunteer for an organisation you resonate with (Bloomhill Cancer Care, OzHavest, Orange Sky to name a few - please comment other volunteer organisations) . THINGS TO RECONSIDER: 1 Trying the latest FAD DIET. Diet 'drop-out' rates are REALLY HIGH and can lead to unhealthy relationships with food. There are SO MANY other HEALTHY, ACHIEVABLE steps that we can take to improve our health without making drastic, unsustainable changes to our daily routines (see 1 and 4 of 'Things to TRY') 2 Joining a GYM. If you ENJOY going to the gym, know how to use exercise equipment WITHOUT injurying yourself, like group classes and can afford a membership, GO FOR IT! if you don't like the gym for ANY REASON, you are NOT obligated to join one NO MATTER how many Facebook ads tell you you should. There are cheaper and more accessable ways to include more exercise in your week (see #5 of 'Things to try') 3 Joining that MLM that's not an MLM but really, it's an MLM. .
