21.01.2022 Statistics back from recent polls state that 40% of under 35's have not voted in the postal survey (a demographic we know overwhelmingly supports a YES vote). I...f you are in this group: please return your vote if you have not already. Also, importantly, please use your social networks to reach others in this age group. If you have children or relatives in this age range, now is the time to ask them to reach out to friends, friends of friends, frenemies, exes etc etc, to get this statistic to at least the national average of 75% returns. The oldies (over 55's) have a 90% return rate (just for some healthy competitive incentives). This isn't abstract. This is what you can do. Before Friday 27th October is the preferred postal date. 11.01.2022 ADJUNCT PROFESSOR AT AUSTRALIAS TOP UNIVERSITY FOR ART AND DESIGN I am delighted to announce that I have been appointed Adjunct Professor in the School of Art ...of RMIT University in Melbourne. On the QS World University Rankings, RMIT comes top for art and design outside of USA, UK and Italy. It also maintains one of the longest-running photography courses, dating back to 1891. Today it has the most wonderful set of people working in the photography department, all of whom have a strong commitment to social practice and a belief in the ability of photography to effect change and promote social justice. As Adjunct Professor I will be mentoring students, reviewing their work and helping them understand it in an international context. I am also working with the photography department on strategies to create a shared platform for art participation with the local community and will be helping to further develop the universitys networks internationally. Meanwhile, I am pursuing my post-doctoral research into participatory culture as an associate member of the Centre for Art, Society and Transformation. It is very exciting! :-)
