22.01.2022 Children feel loved and secure in warm, caring relationships. Loving relationships help children to feel safe. Showing them they are loved builds their confiden...ce, ability to bounce back when things get tough and eagerness to learn. Regular routines for sleep, play and meals reassures children that they can trust their world. When you encourage children to talk about their feelings, listen to them and respond, you help them to connect with you, and feel valued. Talking with children about everyday experiences and celebrating their achievements, builds their language. This helps them to speak up and participate in everyday life. What does this look like? Listening and responding to children builds their language and social skills. When you listen, they learn to listen to you. Having more language means children can better express their feelings. Holding and cuddling your child releases good hormones that support their growth. You can connect emotionally with your child by talking, smiling, hugging, and laughing See more

19.01.2022 Our very own Daynah turned 10 yesterday! She is loved by all of the daycare children and she adores them just the same. Daynah went to a family daycare when she was very little so when I see her with my daycare children it reminds me of what her daycare mums children were like with her and it melts my heart. It may not seem it to many, but it’s very special. They still hold a special place in her life still today and will forever, and I only hope she will to all my little ones I care for too x #familydaycare #theyreallydobecomefamily #doubledigits

10.01.2022 Today is the first day of Book Week here at daycare. Today we read Window World Bugs. Such a beautiful little rhyming story with colourful pages that make the story very inviting for children. We made beautiful butterflies just like in the story, did some colour sorting with our own bugs, looked and named the different types we sorted and the children did some bug hunting with their nets and bug catcher.
